Thrilled with the Results! :) - Toronto, ON

I am a 50 year old woman and in mid-June, I had a facelift, neck lift and fat grafting. I had been thinking about the surgery for two years and during that time I had 3 different consultations.

The surgery took 5 hours and I spent the first night at the clinic. I experienced very little pain and anything I felt during the first night was easily controlled with medication. I would say it was uncomfortable with the drain, stitches and bandages but not really painful. It was difficult looking in the mirror over the first few days following the surgery and there were times when I felt a little depressed. I had done a great deal of research on the experience of having a facelift and I understand this can be a typical response. I was however grateful that my hair covered all of the stitches. I did go out in public on day 2 with a scarf around my neck and sunglasses. By day 10 any bruising that was left was easily covered with make-up. It has been 5 weeks since my surgery and my friends and family still do not know that I have had the surgery. I tend to hear comments like, "You look really well-rested", "You look great", "You look younger"??? I wish I felt comfortable enough to post pictures of my face before and after because the results are amazing! I still can't believe this is my face when I look in the mirror. I think I look 10 years younger. Dr. Born assured me that I would not look over-done and this is true, the work he did is very natural looking but the jowls in my cheeks and droopy neck are gone :).

I would do it again in a heartbeat!
