5 wks post op!
$15,000
I can't believe I'm already at 5 wks po. I'm feeling pretty good overall. The swelling has gone down a considerable amount, although Its still a little "lumpy" around the incision. I know that will all even out with time. My belly button is looking sooo much better now and I'm happy about that.
I'm sleeping much better and have been able to sleep on my side for a little while at least. The lipo sites are still sore and a little swollen but again that's all to be expected. My doctor is very pleased with my results so far. I'm very happy that the surgery has gone so well without any complications.
The only hiccup was when I came down with a 24 hr flu which was accompanied by a persistent cough. That was NOT fun! I thought my stomach would explode! Thankfully it only lasted a few days.
I'm still wearing my compression garment during the day and look forward to the day I can retire it. It's hard to find clothes to cover it up.
I am going to start getting lymphatic massages which my ps suggested. It's suppose to help with the hard spots and selling as well.
I am wearing smaller jeans as I am down a total of 17lbs since sx. I have not been able to eat as much as before sx and I'm guessing it's because my tummy is so tight. I'm not complaining!!! Lol
I don't feel ready to return to the gym yet because I still feel very tight. I'm thinking I should be ready by the 2 month mark. My energy level is really good though.
I'm looking forward to seeing where I'm at in another month! I'm a happy lady!

2 weeks po...
I can't believe I had my sx 2 wks ago! Time has flown by so quickly for someone who just laid around the house!! lol
I'm feeling really well. I have more energy and have the itch to start venturing out of the house....on my own to boot! I know I can drive and I intend to just take some short trips to run a couple of errands and get some fresh air.
Physically, I am still swollen, which comes as no surprise for this type of sx. It feels like I'm about 7 months pregnant, but when I look down it's not that noticeable. I can only imagine what it will look like when I'm not swollen. Can't wait for that to happen!!
I've been off all meds, except for muscle relaxants here and there, for almost a week. I am still sleeping on my recliner. I tried sleeping on the bed, but felt too much pressure on my lower back and flanks. I don't mind the recliner cuz it's so comfy.
Even though I read somewhere that you shouldn't weigh yourself .....I did! I was happy to see that I was down about 4lbs. I know that it will go down more once the swelling goes. I even tried my pre op jeans and was surprised to be able to put them on without a problem and they were slightly loose too!
All in all, I am happy with my progress. I know I made the right decision to have the sx and with the doctor I chose. He is the right doctor for me! I look forward to seeing the final result. :)

I'm glad you're doing well! :)
Thanks summer....I hope you are doing well too. :)
Sounds like you are having a good recovery. Just be sure to remember to take it easy and not over do it. It is a long journey and patience is key to getting through the ups and downs. Take care.
Thank you. I am def taking things slowly and happy to do so. :)
Rippoff. Worst case scenario i don't give credit the picture show a evidence of bad malapractic.
What do you mean?
???
As I conveyed in my comment to you above, samuray, if you can't say something nice, you shouldn't say anything at all.
["samuray15, I looked at YOUR profile. No personal information or photos shared by YOU there... just 2 comments total - both on this review. Mind me asking what qualifies you to make such nasty judgements? You're no medical expert ... You can't even spell. Perhaps you should keep your negative opinions to yourSELF. NO one here wants to hear it. THIS site is a place to uplift and support other women who are going through something very brave. You're a coward to criticize. The pictures posted here are very typical of a body bruised, swollen and raw after plastic surgery! There's a LOT of healing that takes place beyond 5 DAYS post-op - bodies are resilient and amazing that way! I if you have an upcoming procedure, you're in for quite an awakening. Good luck with that."]

My first post op visit
I had the first post op visit with my ps yesterday and it went great. He took both drains out and thankfully it really wasn't that bad at all. The first one burned for the first 10 seconds. I didn't even feel the second one being pulled out! I was relieved because of some of the stories I had heard and I really wasn't in the mood for more pain! He said that I was healing very well and everything looked as it should be at this point. The swelling and hardness is very normal as he did do quite a bit of lipo as well.
I was cleared to have showers and I did that today. It was very soothing. I used a shower chair so I can rest in case I felt weak, but I felt fine. I put some polypsorin on the incision, put my cg back on and was ready for a rest! Lol. It does take a little out of you.
I really have had a lot of swelling and it had been the most uncomfortable more than anything else. I am starting to see my figure and I can't wait to see how my new body will emerge from this whole ordeal.
