WORTH IT
I started Embrace 4 and a half weeks post op. I wish I started two weeks before, I believe that the scar would be even better if I had.
I had a mommy makeover on July 23rd, a tummy tuck (waist to waist scar) and a breast lift (no implants) My plastic surgeon recommended Embrace to me (btw he is a GOAT in his profession trust me) after seeing my scar during my 4 weeks post op appointment. He said that I should just order strips for the tummy tuck and could use something less expensive on my breast since other silicon strips are just as effective. When I went on their site, I saw a significant difference on breast scars after using Embrace. So I took a leap of faith and splurged on the whole set instead of just the tummy portion.
My plastic surgeon asked me to come into his office to apply the first set of strips since putting it on can be a bit tricky and making a mistake is very costly. He put the strips on the tummy scar and again said don't bother on the breast. He went ahead and put silicon strips he had as samples and dressed the right breast as well as my belly button with Mepiform. When I was leaving, he told me to purchase Mepiform before going home and to dress the left breast ASAP.
I don't know why but I didn't follow his instructions and put Embrace on the left breast to see if it was better than the other silicon dressing and was it worth the extra money. I was disappointed that the strip didn't completely cover my areola. I spoke with a representative who told me that I could return the products for the breast scars when I called them three days later. I was nervous that the part of exposed areola would not heal the same as the parts that was covered. Considering I spent over $800 CA, I didn't want to spend more on silicon strips to cover that small exposed part. So I decided that I will return the unused strips. The rep was extremely accommodating and sent the return number and address to ship it back to them.
So exactly one week of having the silicon dressings on my scars I was packing up the boxes of Embrace for the breast scars and I had a urge to check the scars to see if there is a difference between my two breasts. When I looked closely I could not believe my eyes, the side that had the Embrace on it the scar was no longer red and the line was diminishing, especially the bottom part of the scar. The right side the scar looked almost the same as it did when the doctor dressed it a week before. I will put up pictures to show you the results. Immediately I went and grabbed the Embrace boxes and put them in my drawer. I also dressed the right breast with Embrace right away knowing nothing will help that vertical scar like Embrace.
I did experience itchiness and irritation from the tapes. The first set lasted exactly 7 days. I made a huge mistake on the second set! I did not give my skin time to breath and heal before putting on the next set.
The second application: The itching and irritation on my tummy was so bad that I took the strips off after 5 days. I decided to give my tummy some time to heal before putting on the next set. I constantly put lotion or rosewood oil on my stomach and massaged it to help heal the irritation and dryness. Plus the lady with the unbelievable results said that she massaged her scars every night. So I've been massaging as much as I can. ( I believe it does help)
After giving my tummy three days to heal, I went ahead and put the third set on. Immediately I could tell that the strips were not sticking like the others did. I tried to put waterproof medical tape to help keep it together but within 36 hours the tape came off. Because the strips are so damn expensive and plus I wanted to have Embrace for the full 60 day period. I called the help line to ask if they could replace the strips that were defected. They apologized and sent me replacements within 2 days. That is what I call 5 star customer service.
The day after the strips came apart, I placed another set and I can't tell you how much improvement my scars already has. All together I had Embrace on the scars for a total of 14 days on my tummy, left breast total of18 days and my right breast 11 days and I can see that my scar is not nearly as red, has thinned out quite a bit and is completely flat. I can't wait to see the results after the full 60 days of treatment. I am very hopeful that I will be very pleased. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants their scars to heal at its very best.
One advice, I bought Mepiform for my belly button and to cover the small exposed sides of my areola. I put Mepiform on between the time the 3rd set of strips came apart to putting on the replacement. I put Mepiform on the scar. This made a huge difference. I would highly recommend to do that instead of having nothing on inbetween applications.
I still have ways to go with my recovery. I am so happy to have had this surgery as it has given me so much confidence in myself. I also finally like the way I look when standing in front of the mirror. I will update as I travel my healing and recovery journey. I hope everyone has a good experience and is happy with their result as well.
I have no idea how clear the pictures will look. The lighting isn't the best but I tried to take the best photos from my iPhone.

UPDATED FROM bellayang01
1 month post
October 29 (just over three months post op)

So I am almost through my embrace journey. I have only a few applications left. It will be 60 days on Nov. 6th. Its hard to clearly see how well the scars are healing because I am looking at them everyday. However if you look at the photos from a month ago and then look at these pictures in the exact same lighting, the progress in a month is astonishing.
My left breast that had the embrace on it one week before the right, the difference is shocking.
FYI: if there is a little opening on the edges of your embrace tape, seal it with waterproof tape. My left breast had an opening and the last time I didn't tape it. Water got trapped and I got an infection!!! When I finally noticed something was wrong and I took the tape off. There was a big hole just below my nipple. Luckily, it is healing really well, I haven't had embrace on that breast for the last week. The scar below the the infection is amazing. You can barely see it and it's only been 3 months post op.
The right breast's scar is not as diminished as the left one however, if you look at the two pictures, the line is thinner but the biggest difference that you might not be able to see in the photos is, the line is not nearly as dark or red as it used to be.
Even though it will be 60 days on Nov 6th, because I didn't use the XL embrace tapes that I bought for the anchor of my breast lift on my breast. I have had extra to use on my tummy tuck scar. That is the reason why I was even able to do the therapy for the full 60 days. If you read my review... the first application lasted 7 days and the next 5. So I am really happy that I was able to do that.
I will be done my therapy by mid November. I am so glad that I didn't hesitate to spend the money to heal my scars at its optimum. My plastic surgeon told me that I will clearly see my improvements on my body in 3 months and will see most of it's ultimate results in 9 months. I don't have a lot of patience so I feel like I am crawling through the recovery process. But I am so happy to have done this surgery, in so many ways it gave me my life back. I no longer have to think about being embarrassed of loose skin.
I will try and keep updating as my journey continues. I truly hope that everyone is thrilled with their surgery and results as I am.

I see you put two or 3 over the nipple to cover the areola. I just started and had to use 2 since one didn’t fully cover the areola scars. Thank you!
