You look amazing. Very natural. No one will ever notice you've been augmented. Congratulations and enjoy the new you!

Thanks! But I am hoping people will notice lol! My implants are relatively small, but my doctor was concerned that I had too little breast tissue and that there will be rippling if I went to big. He didn't want me over 250, and at first I was only gonna do 225. With 275 there is a tiny bit of rippling but nothing enough to bother me. Thanks again!

Well, those who know you best will probably notice a difference considering your pre-op appearance (no offense). I meant those who haven't yet met you may never notice. I also had upper eyelid surgery years ago and it's still looking great. No more upper eyelid droop/excess skin (I suffered from constant puffy eyelids as a child which stretched my skin). Funny, no one in my family even noticed the difference after surgery. My pre-op appearance really wasn't all that bad, just bothered me.

I am so amazed you felt well enough to do all that stuff just a day after. my ps went under the muscle since I was so thin up top. Maybe that's the difference. You look so fantastic though! Can't wait until I can go back to working out and playing with my kids.

Thank you so much! I had very little breast tissue so to be honest I was surprised they my ps wanted me to go over the muscle. But he was adamant and I decided to just trust his judgment. I do have some underlying health issues that would make under the muscle more tricky for me. Congrats on your new boobies too! You'll be working out in no time! :)

Just a quick question. I am a 32AA as well and a very petite build (5'7, 110 lbs). I'm turning 39 in May and this is my present to myself. I always liked my small breasts - until I breast fed three kids and the look of them changed dramatically (think perky to droopy). I don't want to go quite as large, perhaps between a B and C. Were your options limited because of our petite body size and pre-surgery breast size (e.g. type of implant, location of implant)? Thanks.

Hi! We have a similar profile - I'm not as petite as you are, being 5'8 and 118, but close. You can probably see from my profile pics that I had basically a boy's chest prior to my BA, and my doctor said I simply do not have enough skin to go bigger than 275. He wanted to give me 250s and I said 300, and he said we will split the difference. He also said for me above muscle is better as I have pretty developed pectoral muscles, and also I have some pre-existing health issues (I'm on anti-coagulants) that would make under muscle more risky. I did not talk to him about location of implant; just let him decide. I could have done saline but prefer the cohesive gel. I also breastfed 3 kids! :)

That's great feedback. Thank you.

You look great! Can't believe you were able to resume working out so quickly! I'm very active too and 'm dying to get back to the gym but my PS is adamant, no cardio for 2 weeks. I'm one week post op and going so crazy already, I started doing leg lifts in bed yesterday! Lol
April 6, 2015
Thank you! I was shocked too at how quickly my doctor said I can resume workouts! His view is that the sooner I move the quicker the recovery will be. Sounds counterintuitive but it worked for me. You only have one more week of non activity so hang in there!

I really love your results and I will be discussing above the muscles with my doctor
April 7, 2015
I'm not sure why more people don't choose to go above!

I think some of us , or me rather, worry about the possibility of feeling the actual implant being that it's over the muscle rather than somewhat concealed under the muscle. Recovery over the muscle is definitely much easier, but for some reason I have the belief that under the muscle may appear more natural? Although I have seen natural looking over the muscle as well. To each her own :-)

I think whether or not one looks natural also has a lot to do with how big one chooses to go. Mine are pretty modest (I actually thought they were big until I saw that most people on this site go way bigger!). At 4 weeks, mine has settled quite nicely and they look almost too natural lol (i.e., not big enough!).

My PS told me under the muscle also makes it easier to read a mammo so if there is any concern about that it's usually the better choice.

Some details

mmills01
I forgot to give details of my BA.

Pre op I was a 32AA if even. Flat basically. I'm 5'8 and around 118-120 lb and very active. Doctor suggested over the muscle and I got 275 moderate high profile cohesive gel by mentor.
