Immaculate Lip Lift by Doctor Trevor Born - Toronto, ON

MOTIVATION:
Following gradual lowering of my lips due to the effects of ageing impelled by gravity, conjoined with the weight of silicone injections I had done in my younger years in Europe, I believed it was high time to rectify the appearance of my lips. I had already undergone cheiloplasty to remove some of the silicone to improve my misshapen lips, but still I was not satisfied with the appearance of my lips and also disliked the length of my philtrum in proportion to my facial features.

SURGEON:
I chose Doctor Born as my surgeon as I have already undergone multiple fatgrafts as well as cheiloplasty with said doctor and was most content with his work. I am also by now familiar with the TMB surgical suites which are clean, comfortable and well-managed. I travelled from my current hometown, taking a 4 hour flight to come to Toronto where TMB is located.

Doctor Born was attentive, thoughtful, and caring upon every visit and his calm demeanour most reassuring the day of surgery. Doctor Born's staff were congenial and took excellent care of me. Of particular note, I want to mention Andrea, the surgical coordinator, who made sure everything ran seamlessly. Her vigilance in ensuring I had everything I needed, and that the operation would definitely run on time, was appreciated.

Yolanda, the nurse, was professional and gentle, providing me with the additional care requisite given I was frankly more fragile than usual given that I was not at home recuperating in the safekeeping of my doting husband. I also felt bloody dreadful after I scalded myself the day after surgery with a pot of tea in my post-op stupor. Most sweetly, Yolanda took care of this too.

TMB APP:
I appreciated Doctor Born's app which I found useful and reassuring, and would recommend use of this to anyone recovering from surgery, especially if they are alone. This software provides one with instructions to follow prior to surgery, and also post-op, gives you the option to update the doctor on your daily progress prior to your in-person visit with him. Doctor Born conscientiously checks the feedback you give him, as I could tell from the questions he posed me when I saw him in his office subsequently.

RESULT:
Doctor Born's work was absolutely meticulous. He outdid himself. He proved his work to be of such a high standard that despite my recent move from Toronto, I retrospectively surmised that it was indeed a wise investment and worth the additional energy, time, capital and inconvenience to travel from another city for this procedure.

I am most delighted with the much improved appearance of my lips. My scarring is minimal, as Doctor Born's stitches were so wonderfully precise and immaculate that any scarring I have left is hardly visible in the shadow of my nose. In fact much of my scarring has faded to near invisibility.

Not only did Doctor Born reduce the length of my philtrum, however and more importantly, he altered the shape of that part of my face ensuring that my lips look more symmetrical, youthful and are far better positioned. Instead of drooping downwards, they sit pertly. On the day of surgery I stated to Doctor Born 'I want eminently kissable lips' and he has given them to me.

This procedure has rejuvenated my overall appearance dramatically, yet such is the subtlety of Doctor Born's artistry, no one has noticed that this is the reason for my younger, fresher, prettier countenance.
