I was beginning to see some fine lines around my mouth and on my chin area and didn't want to try anything too drastic so I turned to microneedling. I've just finished my fourth treatment and while I don't think it's completely resolved my wrinkling it's definitely improved my skin tremendously. If you really want to shrink your pores and get a beautiful glow, this is the way to go. I am also getting three treatments -- IPL, Fractora Forma and LUX 1540 to my neck and chest. I was going to follow up and do the same on my face after microneedling but I worry about the risks with sensitive skin like mine and the horror stories I've read about lasers and fat loss. I don't know what impact these will have on my neck and chest but I guess I'm not willing to gamble with my face. Instead, I'm going to continue doing microneedling on the face. You're very red and sensitive (I'm quite fair) the first day, but by the second you can apply makeup. Prepare to peel like a demon--at least I did with my last treatment and it wasn't super pretty--but if you want to take a risk free approach to aging on your face, I truly recommend microneedling. It won't have the big, bang immediate impact of some lasers, but you won't ever have any regrets. Will continue updating.

I also just had my 4 th rejuvapen treatment last Wednesday. I'm going back in 3 weeks to take after pics. Can't wait to compare them to my before pics. Overall I didn't get the results I was hoping for. I would say it definitely makes your skin look fresher and a little smoother. My first 3 treatments were very aggressive. I have fair skin and recovery was a full week between the redness and peeling. This last treatment she did a different technique which was more stamping. Still redness but not as severe and still peeling but not as bad. My skin is very sun damaged and looks dry and weathered so was hoping to really improve the texture.

Hi Sheba. Look into the obagi skin treatments. I am going on that this coming winter, and everything I heard and read about the treatment is that is makes sun damaged skin glow. It does cause peeling, and you need to persevere with it for a number of months and best to use it during winter time.

Are you talking about obagi peels?

Hi Sheba. The obagi system starts out using about five or six different creams that you use daily for about three months and then you go on a maintenance system to follow up to ensur your skin remains supple etc. I am not an expert on it outside hearing it is great for skin. You do peel for a few weeks, depending on your skin etc. like you I am very fair and very nervous of using anything too aggressive.

Sounds similar to just using retin a, no? I just started using it in February but am going slowly.
