With age , what was most noticeable in the face...

With age , what was most noticeable in the face were my deep folds ,lines and shadows that dramatically changed the way I looked in the mirror. Which in truth, changed the way I felt about my self. All I could focus on were my jowls,a jaw line that used to look so sharp now falling , and my sagging neck and chin gave me the appearance of a turkey . Overall it was making me look heavier than I actually was and over fatigued .In the past month I went to four different surgeons, two ENT surgeons that called them selves Cosmetic Plastic Surgeons which is false and clearly explained why they wanted to fill my face with fillers instead of fat grafting ! and one surgeon that was both Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon & Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon who was recommended to me by a colleague at Hopkins Hospital.Well - to use one word to describe my experience with Dr Adibfar , as promised ,he was by far the most honest and exceptionally trained surgeon I have ever met. I can say this because I am an American Board Certified Neurological Surgeon and deal with patients and like minded professionals.
In this regard, I could definitely see the distinction between surgeons. Dr Adibfar was the wake up call I needed to make up my mind. He was brutally honest - but rather than be offended ,I consider it as a favor to me.I decided to get my life in gear first. I was a stressed out over working surgeon working 16 to 17 hour days, worrying about others not to mention eating and drinking far to much. He told me to get my life straight before thinking surgery would fix all my problems - "face lift wont fix your life" That was all the motivation I needed. Finally I had changed my life, running , then cycling and swimming, eating better and feeling better about my self. Six months later I booked my Face Lift and Neck Lift with Dr Adibfar.

I had my Face, Eyes , Upper eyelid & lower , Neck Lift in February , there was a time that I wondered whether I had made the right decision, my face was still lopsided, my cheeks were swollen and I didn't look like me. I wondered when I glimpsed at my face in the mirror after four days .But I am VERY happy that I did it .My eyes were my biggest fear, I have not seen too many surgeons where the skin around the eyes didn't look too pulled back. That's why I made sure to pick a surgeon who didn't do that pulling back thing. Dr Adibfar explained he works with the deeper tissues to support the natural contours of the face. After two months I am back to work and definitely think I look ten times better than before my surgery. Its not that I look younger , its that I look less tired and worn down by my life. I GOT WHAT I WANTED - a better version of myself inside and outside. I didn't want to look like a face lift patient. Nevertheless , when people do notice and ask what's my secret. I tell them Dr Adibfar. My policy is Honesty , I tell people I had a lift / some work done. Hence the review. Thank you Dr Adibfar and team for your good work. You have changed my life for the better.

I interviewed a few surgeons and looked at people they worked on.I chose the surgeon I felt most comfortable with. Dr Adibfar met all the required credentials which was important to me. I also felt he could explain his technique and liked his volumetric approach. By "volumetric " I mean he works with the deeper tissues to change contours of the face versus just pulling the skin back. I also liked the fact he donates a lot his time and money to disadvantaged communities, more importantly takes no credit for it. No name dropping , and isn't about appearing in magazines for fame. He is humble and exceptionally qualified - two things I admire
