I found myself being very self conscious- not at all typical for my personality.
I spoke to my general practitioner, who told me that these would not be correctable with topical creams, or other easy remedies.
He provided me with two referrals to see cosmetic surgeons. I did not hurry this process, as the thought of having anybody cut into any part of my eyes seemed very scary.
I did however meet each of the recommended surgeons. Each presented himself credibly, however something to me just didn't feel right with either one.
That's why nearly 3 years passed between seeing the first surgeon and deciding to proceed with Dr. Adibfar.
I learned of Dr. Adibfar initially through a close friend, who recommended him without reservation. I then booked a visit to see Dr. Adibfar.
The overall sensation I had when I went into Dr. Adibfar's office was very different from the other two. It was very polished and professional.
The offices were beautiful to look at, and the staff were full of genuine enthusiasm and encouragement for what a difference this type of surgery could make.
Basic web research yielded very strong references and positive results about Dr. Adibfar - which by now I expected.
There were also YouTube interviews available, which helped to confirm Dr. Adbifar's passion for and deep knowledge of cosmetic surgery.
At this stage, I was quite prepared to move ahead, as my frustration with the unsightly appearance of my eyes was now far greater than any worry I could have about proceeding with the operation.
Agata, his efficient patient coordinator handled everything in a very discreet, polished and professional manner.
From the day I walked in for my initial consultation through to my 4 week post surgery consultation; every aspect of the experience was nothing but positive. In short, I cannot recommend Dr. Adibfar enough.
Make no mistake, I was worried before going into the operation, but knowing what I know now, it was entirely unfounded - all in my head.
Post surgery, my eyes have returned to a normal and natural look - my lower eye-lids look today as they did when I was in my early 40's .
I am much happier and more confident in carrying out day-to-day activities. No more hiding behind glasses.
My only wish is that I had done this a few years ago… But glad that I did finally did get on with it.
