Fourth time doing cosmelan. Originally completed cause Malon one mask in 2007. I had fantastic results. Did the mask again in 2009 and had the great same results. Completed another mask in 2014… Results were fantastic but didn't last more than eight months. Probably because I didn't keep up with home maintenance as I should have.
Planning to follow instructions to a T this time… And hope to maintain longer results

I agree with exactly what she says here. I did it once. Had great results but didn't maintain and it spots came back. Doing it again.

Did you have a Cosmela 1 or your doctor use cosmelan md. my dermatologist is going to order cosmelan md for me!

My face started peeling! It started around my cheeks, then my forehead, nose and lastly around my mouth. The peeling wasn't as aggressive as I expected, but more of a light 'flaking off' of my old
Skin.
Cosmelan 2 is EXTREMELY PAINFUL to apply! But it hurts so good.
The pain lasts for around 2-5 minutes. I apply cosmelan 2 -and then lay in bed and practice deep breathing until it calms down. After about 30min I'll apply the hydra-k. Some days my scars look lighter other days they look darker. But overall I do see lightening in my face and my skin does have a more uniform complexion.
When I step outside I notice my skin gets dry so so quickly and my lips... well I'm reapplying Vaseline or blister every 20min.
The corner of my mouth is cracked horribly I feel like Joker (literally). I Lather on the Vaseline, I tried polysporin,
But as soon as I open my mouth
To brush, eat, or do normal human stuff the corners just crack again.
I read in someone's review that there's a creme for mouth sores and that
Helps the healing so I'll pick that up today!
Advice for newbies: COSMELAN 2 burns so bad but stick to it!!

Hi I have scars that Fraxel created as well as hyperpigmentation. Does anyone know if cosmelan helps with scars that are indented? Please help

I have a lot of pitted scars (indented) from acne.
The cosmelan definitely makes them look smaller and my face tighter

I went out in the day to run an errand.
When I caught a glimpse of
My face outside I was mortified.
Redness, chunks of skin peeling on my upper lip. My skin looked so uneven and my dark spots felt darker.
I had to remind myself that I've never gone a day without coverup in the last 2 years so what I was looking at... the unevenness was just my face without makeup.
I had plans with friends tonight
I wanted to cancel because when i got home, around my mouth was so red and still peeling- so I took a hot shower and used my hands to gently rub my face.
It worked... redness and flaming was gone. I skipped the cosmelan 2, put on layers and layers of hydra k and then some bare minerals (loose powder).
I couldn't believe how just a sweep of powder gave me an even complexion! I'm so used to the usual concealer, foundation, powder, bronzer and a setting spray.
I definitely noticed the difference that the cosmelan had made!
When I got home I washed my face and applied cosmelan 2. It hurt SO bad. More than usual.
The stinging lasted around 15min.
Anyways off to bed, look forward to seeing more results tomorrow! SHOW LESS

Hi how is it working? Do you feel like the ebay Cosmelan was legitimate?I was going to order it off of ebay and try it myself because I cant find a doctor where I live that does it. Thanks for your help.

one of my friends went to the cosmelan site itself and ordered the product directly....I checked it out and noticed throughout the year they have sales a few times a year..on ebay it is way more expensive.

They orders directly from Spain so it's original. I had a same story as u I don't find a doctor to my treatment so I did it my self at home but make sure one thing don't apply a lot of cream around ur mouth area nose side and near by eyes u don't feel much when u apply mask on day one but as it's start working and specially when you start apply home treatment (2) it's burns a lots.

Hey folks sorry for the delay.
So… I have to stop at the Cosmelon 2 to about a month ago. We decided to start trying for a family and so I needed to stop anything with hydroquine.
Overall… My skin has lightened a bit. I did get a few new bumps on my cheek and jaw- I realized this was due to me using a colleague's telephone and holding it up to my face… So ladies remember; your skin is supersensitive! I'd recommend you disinfect anything that you use against your face i.e. Cellphones!
Anyways those bumps turned into scars have been super stubborn and it's really annoying that I can't use anything on them right now. Sadly they stand out so much because the rest of my face is a bit lighter..
My skin is still extremely dry. I've been using Rosehip oil to moisturize and tea tree oil for any new bumps and the combination works wonders.
I wish I knew about these two products earlier… I am so confident that a lot of my acne scarring and hyper pigmentation would have be avoided had I discovered the Rosehip oil and Teatree oil in the 90's!
My pores are definitely a bit smaller and all of the super tiny bumps I had before are gone… I'm not sure if this is due to the Cosmelan mask or the rose hip/teatree.
The one thing I will say is that the formula for cosmelan has definitely changed. The original formula really powerful and helped reduce my scars tremendously. This new formula is just 'okay'. I didn't have the dramatic makeover I was looking for… And I definitely don't think it was worth what I paid for it.

Oh! One thing I'd like to add… Applying make up is much easier now. I use a lot less and I find I just have better application now than before.
And a few friends have commented that I look younger and more vibrant.
One thing I want to stress for anyone doing this mask is to stay extremely hydrated! It will help turn over your skin A lot quicker than if you're dehydrated.
Recommendations: use plastic gloves and make sure hair is tied back/clipped back really well so strays don't end up in the mask!
