WORTH IT$3,200
I'm 40, and have 2 kids, and although I'm very active (part-time personal trainer), I have a couple of little pockets on my flanks and lower belly that make me nuts. I didn't want to remove a lot, just enough to feel like I have the same level of body fat all over. My family tends to gain it only in the belly and especially flanks. I had a consult with a plastic surgeon about lipo, and she actually recommended Coolsculpting instead, and said I was going to get about the same result with half the cost. And the no-surgery thing is a plus too.
I had my first Coolsculpting appointment yesterday, and it was every bit as intense as I expected. Well, the actual attaching of the machine was intense, but it was fine after. It felt like my skin was sucked into a strong vacuum and pressed between a cold vice. Which is pretty much exactly what's going on in there. I had 6 areas done yesterday, flanks, lower belly and upper belly (one on each side). It was a very long day, but the Toronto Plastic Surgery Clinic was a lovely place to hang out and watch Netflix while I was waiting, and Nadia was lovely, and fun to work with.
I quoted $3200 above, but only because it requested USD, so it was actually $4k CAD.
So far, day one, my skin is swollen a little, and bruised, as expected - only because I bruise easily. It feels raw and sensitive, like your skin after having a tattoo. Not a big deal, just tender. I think people can take the "pain-free" thing out of context, while its not surgery, you are not going to be feeling like it's a normal day, this isn't a facial here, you are freezing cells, and putting your skin through an ordeal. I was able to hit the gym easily this morning for some weights.
Because I love comparing before and after actual data, starting point is 127 lbs, and 28" waist. Let's see where it goes from here!

Just a few before photos that I forgot to post, and a photo of a flank right after the procedure.

Most of the swelling has gone down, and it started to feel a little... spicy last night on the belly. My flanks feel just itchy. It all sort of feels like when my feet freeze in the winter, and the pins & needles when they thaw. Not a big deal at all, keeping hydrated, and compression helps. Bruising is almost gone too. The Sharpie is still there, because it feels too sore to scrub at it.
Glad I got all 6 spots done at once, I much prefer to deal with this all at once.

I love the title of your review. How many more treatments will you be having? You might find this forum helpful. It's got some great tips on what you should expect after having the procedure. Keep us updated and share some pics, if you'd like.
