WORTH IT$2,000
I just had my lip lift surgery done yesterday with Dr tong and already I feel I look 10 yrs younger! so far so good. I have no pain, no swelling(or not that I notice of, my nose looks fine I think)...nothing! I do think I look a bit awkward right now, like I have a cleft lip or something... But somehow I'm able to look pass that (or maybe I just have very good imagination) and see the beauty after the stitches come off. My philtrum length were at 18mm prior the surgery, Dr Tong originally wanted to take 5mm off, but after reading so many reviews on here, I decided to go aggressive on it. I ended up got 8mm off. so yes, I think that's why I look a bit like a rabbit right now(not so bad tho), but I really believe after the stitches come off, and after a couple of months, I'd get the distance I wanted. Everyone at Dr Tong's office were very nice but I want to special thanks Kelly, the nurse who took very good care of me post surgery. Right now I'd say it's worth it! I have no pain, no swelling, no nose distortion like many others were complaining. But I'd update if anything changes and post more photos after the stitches come off.

Yes you do look younger 10 years at least!

Wow it looks so neat and clean...and amazing already!...please keep us posted especially on the scar...I live close to you and was going to go all the way to the US because I couldn't find any doctors in the area who look experienced with this procedure in our area. Did he use regular stitches? (and not the dissolvable kind or glue?) Thanks so much for posting.

Hi, yes he used regular stitches. I'll be having them removed on Monday! Can't wait!

Wow!! Beautifully done!!

Wow, you were pretty before and now you're beautiful. May I ask, did you have a local or general anesthetic? That was very brave of you to have eight taken off. As I read the testimonials from other members, it appears that the doctors want to go conservative therefore their patients end up having to go through with a second procedure. But you, because of your courage bypassed that and got what you desired the first time. Could you please keep us posted as you heal? Close ups of the scar are so valuable.
Best to you beautiful girl.

Thank you girl. I had a local anaesthetic. Ya, I really want to do it right the first time and never have to worry about it again. I figured if I got 5mm off, after a few months when the swelling come down, it will probably drop about 2mm...and as I age that part will keep on sagging..and I'll probably back to how I looked after a few yrs or so...so I was just kind of like yup, let's do 8mm at the very last min lol
I'm happy I went with my last minute decision. As well I had confidence in Dr Tong, because he gave me an impression that he didn't think 8mm was a big deal lol

Day 4

missy88
Nothing much has changed since my last update. I haven't experience any pain, didn't take any pain killer. Except I been getting very impatient and a bit frustrated since I can't do a lot of normal activities right now, and I just can't wait to see the final result! I still think I made the right decision for choosing Dr Tong and getting 8mm off but I think I'm going through a bit of post op depression right now, one minute I feel like I'm looking good, and the next minute I feel like I need more work on my face(that could be the result of staying in and starring at the mirror too long) So most of the time I just try to sleep and not think too much about my face right now.
I'll be having the stitches removed on Monday, so looking forward to it!

This process must be very tough...do you have any good books or magazines to read?
If you need some education and healing meditation type stuff let me know and I can p.m. you some audio program links later ok.
Can you go for a walk? Maybe you can put paper/newspaper over the mirrors to get your mind off it....you already look great and you're only a few days in! Give yourself some time woman :)

I will say it's a little bit hard to 100% judge with only a picture of the bottom portion of your face since I don't know what the top proportions look like. However, from what I see you looked great before and even better now. The bottom of your face looks like that of a very young woman. I wish you a continued fantastic journey!

Day 6(stitches removed)

missy88
I got my stitches removed today. There's one scar(as seen in the picture underneath my left nostril) that looks like a scratch there... Other than that, there's no other visible scars that left from the stitches. I went out shopping for the first time today since the surgery and my friend said I looked normal, it didn't really feel like I had a surgery 6 days ago. And the scar underneath of nose just look like a little scratch. We were both very impressed and i'm very surprised how fast I'm healing comparing to a lot of other people on here...not sure if it's bc of my diet...i drink a glass of honey lemon with warm water every morning empty stomach.
Anyway, my friend thinks that I look younger and the scars is looking very nice as for just 6 days...but we both agree that my lips doesn't look natural right now...not sure if it's bc of the shape or my expression bc it's still feel tight and I can't move around that area freely...I'm hoping that is the case and it will improve as the swelling come down.

You are still early days, so try to be patient, but I think you are looking fab! Thanks so much for sharing.

Wow. Looking good...and so early on in the healing process . Should only get better.

Looks so natural and youthful! I don't even see the scar you referenced. You will definitely get to the point where you feel "normal" once the swelling is completely gone and I wouldn't expect it to be already. But to anyone else I don't think it's noticeable. :) Congrats on your fantastic healing!

I also was looking into doctors in the States because it didn't seem like there were many positive lip lift reviews for the Toronto area-but wow your results look awesome so far!! Makes me have hope that I can do it here. Have you found that the procedure has changed your nose shape at all? Some other lip lift reviews I've read have mentioned that it does, which worries me bc I already don't like my nose! Honestly, it looks like there's no change to your nose and that the doctor made a really clean incision. Thanks for posting and keep us updated <3.
March 16, 2016
Hi Isabel, that was my biggest concern too. But Dr Tong was confidence that it wouldn't change the appearence of my nose, and it didn't. However, now that all my features come closer together, I notice that my nose become a focus of my face. I've always wanted to re-do my nose, but now I'm just even more eager to do it. So even if it doesn't change the shape of your nose but it might bring it out to the centre of attention.

Thanks for the response, good to hear about your nose- I'm personally torn over whether to do a nose job before or after my lip lift. My long philtrum is what bothers me most about my face so I think I want to do lip lift first and the see how I feel about my nose :P. If you wouldn't mind, could you take a side view pic? (One of my biggest dislikes is how my top lip appears so small from the side and wondering about the results there). All the best, you should be so pleased- this is one of the best results for lip lift that I have seen on RS :).

Hi Isabel, sorry I'm just reading this comment now. Honestly if your going to get your nose done no matter what, personally I'd do that first. Just because right now, I'm loving my new look and lips...but I'm also worried that if I get my nose redone now, the length of my philtrum may become longer. And I'll have to go back and get another lip lift...
