I think my photos speak for themselves. The difference is subtle but in my opinion the slight difference has drastically improved my face shape. The procedure itself was uncomfortable but mostly because I was a nervous wreck. Recovery was good - swelling lasted about 10 days. I was able to start eating solid foods 5 days post-op.

Thank you. He used local anesthesia but if I was a nervous wreck...if I were to do it all over again I think I would choose sleeping anesthesia.

Ok! I wrote this before I got mines done, but I ended up going under local as well lol I would recommend that people be put to sleep because you definitely feel it. Thanks! xo

Yep! LOL I was so freaked out I started crying during the last few minutes. I think I metabolize lidocaine at a faster rate than normal because I felt pain near the end. Same thing when I get any dental procedures done.

Yes! We are such the same. I was surprised when I felt the pain and the tugging sensation. I barely felt numb but I wanted the surgery so badly. Did they take all of your buccal fat out or just some? You had a really good result, my doctor didn't take all of mines out because he is very conservative. I definitely notice that you have much more of a difference after the buccal fat removal than I and you were gorgeous before but the improvement is very visible. Did your doctor mention whether or not your entire fat pad was removed? Thanks

He said that he would take out as much as my body will give. So everything he could.

I can really see a huge difference in your face, much more so than my very modest result ( I had masseter reduction with Botox and fat transfer to my cheeks, my doctor was too conservative in removing the buccal fat though, he didn't take all of it like I wanted.) You had such a nice result though and you are gorgeous before and after.

Thank you so much! How many masseter treatments have you had? It took me 4 treatments to get the full results (20-30 units on each side every 4 months).

I get 20 units of Botox on each side and I've had around 8-10 over the span of 4-5 years . I think the after the first few treatments you can really see the masseter muscles start to atrophy and the results last longer. If I go more than six months without a treatment I start to turn into spongebob head, I have a very wide jawline to begin with though. I absolutely love your face shape.

Hi, did they apply external bandages after the surgery?

No bandages were applied. When I asked about this he said that no matter what, it's going to swell so he didn't see the value in it.

Thank you. I think he removed whatever he could. I recall him saying that he will "remove as much as my body will give", so it differs from person to person.
