Hi all, I'm a 38 year old police officer and...
WORTH IT$9,600
Hi all, I'm a 38 year old police officer and figure competitor. I have not had children. The stretch marks you see are all thanks to a growth spurt when I was a teenager. I have been considering BA for the past 3 years. I went for a round of consultations in 2010, then didn't go any further. Since I have gotten back into competing more seriously the desire to "fill out" my sparkly competition suit, and clothing in general, has returned in earnest!
As most other girls feel, I would like my breasts to just look more proportional to my size, I'm 5'4" and weight 118lbs off season, 116lbs during competition. My ideal size would be full B, very small C. Basically, just looking to fill out, without going by way of a lift.
Also, because I have such little breast tissue, dual plane is the technique I believe would be suit my situation. However, I have been reading about a UK doctor's method called biplane, where the pectoral muscle is cut higher up, which reduces displacement in athletic girls. Anyone know about this technique, or have it done?
As a police officer, I'm concerned about the stigma surrounding breast implants, especially in a male dominant profession. I'm panicking about the guys on my platoon figuring it out, and am worried about what excuse I give to go on light duties while I heal.
This is the start of my journey. Any advice from the veterans on here is MUCH appreciated and certainly welcomed!!

My 1st Consult
I felt like such a WOMAN when I tried these on!!!
Thinking I may choose smaller, although I know everyone says I'll wish I'd gone larger.
They are mod profile, Inspira, by Allergan....SSM 365, and SSM 400cc
My first consult was with Dr Jugenburg, at the Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute. I liked him and his assistant, Kim. They were really positive, friendly and helpful. Great first consult!

Wow, both sizes suit you! You lose a bit when you have them under the muscle so maybe the larger one is the best fit?

the sizers look great on you! just keep in mind the sizers will appear much bigger than the implant inside your body!

July 29, 2013
Yes, I heard that. I really need to try rice sizers. I'll be sure to post my findings once I've bought nylons!!

Another consultation - even more confused!??
So, I just went to another consultation. This time the doctor was 100% adamant that I needed subglandular placement, explaining that unders would sit too high on my chest due to my slight ptosis. He said I definitely don't need a lift, and that any droopiness would be corrected by going over.
I am worried about being so lean during competition that the implant would be noticeable.
Anyone have good results going silicone cohesive gel over?
He also said they would gain 25cc. So, 350 would actually be 375cc.
Opinions, comments, experiences, ABSOLUTELY welcomed!!

Hi ladies...if I may...you cannot change other people. When someone shows you their true self...just say thank you. Being a hater has gained in popularity and even inspires group-ness more than ever. When you must confront a hater, be strong in your love for yourself and for the Greater One who loves you. You owe a hater nothing of yourself--do not cast your pearls before swine. Try saying something like, "wow, I am so happy and feel so damn good from my time off, its almost criminal that I have to get back to work. Lots of catching up to do...". And then turn away...I hope this helps. Dont allow other people to make you feel shame. There is no shame in helping yourself. Just think, if you were a guy, would you care if someone didnt like something you did? More often than not, guys respond to efforts of peer shaming with an F you, or a blow me, or some other fierce form of back off.

Sorry for causing confusion...that was not my intent. I was addressing the issues that you and others stated about co-workers and how they may treat you because of your BA. I AM TRULY SORRY. ill take my own advice and butt out. Best wishes only!

I just didn't understand where it was coming from.. But now that u explained I get it. Not my profile but I did comment so no worries!!

Ahhh, I get it now. Please keep your opinions coming. I just didn't understand the relevance it had to my most recent post about today's consult. Lol

Love your strong arms! I'm pretty set on going for BA surgery in November too due to hubby's schedule to be able to take off 2 weeks to help with our 2 kids. Everything I've read from doctors say if you do bodybuilding or fitness competitions that above the muscle is the way to go. You still have more tissue than I do-I need to go under the muscle and I go to the gym regularly but not a competition buff. I too want to be careful and not go too big but also want it to be worth my while. Good luck!

Under the muscle. I'm too afraid of rippling with such a small amount of tissue as I'm between AA and A. The biggest the girls have ever gotten was a large B almost C right after I had my son 2 years ago. 3 years of breastfeeding (would still do it again) 2 kids has left my cute pre-kid boobs really tiny with pointy nipples. I've consulted with my doctor about doing a partial behind the muscle-so trusting his judgment. I hear healing from above the muscle is much quicker though.

You look amazing by the way....you are gonna get a great result :) How about going dual plane placement? Ask your PS! This is partial under muscle. I ended up going with this. Check out my pics. I too workout pretty strong. I couldn't be happier! Oh and silicone is so natural feeling. Seriously amazing.

Thank you for your compliment. I had a look at your photos - great boobs!! I see you went dual placement (I asked the question on your review, you don't need to answer it now)
Do you find any limitations when working upper body? What about displacement when you flex your chest?
Final question: you mentioned it was super painful. I'm a wuss. Is it really that bad?
BTW, I don't see any stretch marks in your before pic... can't be as bad as mine!
July 31, 2013
Hi woman. Sorry, I just noticed this reply. Thank-you. You do notice some displacement when flexing. This is probably why your PS wants to go over the muscle. I thought it was a small trade off for a really natural looking result. However, I don't compete in fitness. It feels weird for a while...I won't lie! However I'm back to 75-100 push-ups a day again and it's all good. Thanks for the stretchmark comment. They don't bother me anyways. I didn't notice any on you either ;) Oh and as far as pain....rest up and you'll be fine. I overdid it. I'm far too busy a mother!!! Let me know your decision. Cheers

Go with your gut. My PS lowered my creases because I supposedly had "high breast mounds." At first I wasn't sure what to think but I actually settled into the idea fine.

Many women start stuffing their bra a few months/weeks pre op to help alleviate some of the stress or worry about a noticeable change. Or you can just kick their butts if anyone makes any comments! ;) Be sure to share some wish boob photos with your PS, ideally of women with similar body frames/shape. Looking forward to following your journey. Thank you for sharing on RealSelf!
