1 Year Review

One year later and I'm extremely impressed with the results. I wish that it was a bit fuller/voluminous, but one must work with what they have. I initially took the application down to every other day, but I kept forgetting to apply it so I reverted back to everyday. I think continuing to do it everyday has actually caused my eyelashes to sprout, which would be ideal for me. The pictures I have taken also include a lash lift I did about 2 weeks ago. Definitely a must if you have stick straight eyelashes like mine!

If you can see from my front facing pictures, I have some pretty clear redness at the corners. This is likely due to the latisse. I can also see some pre-orbital fat loss on my upper eyelid, but I don't really care since I have a lot of excess skin there anyway.

Let me know if you guys have any questions!

Final Review (16 Weeks)

My final verdict of Latisse? Definitely worth it! The increase in volume that I got from the Latisse is really noticeable now. The only downside is the redness that I seem to have, which is really seen if I'm looking up. It's coming close to summer now though, so my skin will probably hide some of the redness from being tanned. Now that it has reached the 16 week maximum for growth, my doctor has told me to switch to applying Latisse every other day or once every three days. Hopefully the redness will go down a bit from the decrease in usage.

12 Week Update

Minor increase in length, but the lengthening effect has pretty much slowed down since the 8-week check-in. I'm hopeful that they'll grow a little more by the 16-week mark, but I won't be heartbroken if it doesn't grow much beyond that. Two things that definitely happened between the 8-week and 12-week check-in was the difference in volume and the darkening of lashes. My lashes have definitely gotten darker from the last time I checked in, and there definitely is a lot more volume. Unfortunately, my phone camera doesn't really show the full effect from week 8 to week 12 but trust me, it's there. Based on my previous photos, there still isn't any evidence of pre-orbital fat loss, which is great. It definitely pays to be careful about it.

Some downsides that I have spotted thus far: some of the skin around my eyes has gotten a bit redder. Granted, it's harder to notice because I naturally have darker skin as an Asian but if you look closely at the side view you can tell that there is redness there. I have also found my eyes to get very dry at night, so when I wake up in the morning it feels like I'm trying to open velcro. These are fairly minor however, so I feel like the benefits of this treatment outweigh the negatives.
