Unlucky genetics, coupled with no shortage of work stres have lead me to become very self-conscious of my constant, prominent undereye circles over the past few years.

After much research, I finally decided to take the plunge and get my tear troughs filled.

After researching several providers (Skin Vitality, a plastic surgeon's office, and POUT Med Spa) I found that POUT was by far the most informative and specialized in dermal fillers; and ultimately I chose to proceed with their services.

Attached are my images before, and approximately 8 hours after the initial treatment.

I do have a very minor bruise on my left eye as a result however there is no pain thus far and I don't see any swelling.

I like that Megan, the injector at POUT, chooses to do tear troughs in 2 sessions to avoid overfilling. Compared to both the chain med spa and plastic surgeon I went to, Megan and her Medical Director were far more patient in answering my questions and much more thorough in explaining the procedure and associated risks.

Wow yours look great so far! I am considering this procedure myself. But live in Vancouver BC I am finding a hard time picking an injector. There is a GP who has an antianging clinic who offers teoysal redensity but I am worried b/c he is not a plastic surgeon. A plastic surgeon I went to only uses restylane for the tear trough area. Ugh!! I don't know what to do :(

He recommended 0.5 then to come back and get another 0.5 once 2 weeks has past

Hey :) i would do a Google search and try to find a couple med spas, injectors and/or surgeons in the area. I spoke with 3 places before going with Megan. Remember that Teosyal Redensity II is the only filler Health Canada has cleared for use in the tear trough so other areas are an "off label" use. I've heard Restylane is alright under eyes but Esthelis is better since the area is quite superficial. It might also be worth your while to look up the "Tyndall effect", meaning some less advanced filers can give a "bluish" look due to their particle size. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions :-)

Oops - I meant to say using other fillers (ie - Restylane). Teosyal is the most advanced on the market at the moment :)

For my injector, I found one who was specialized in facial fillers and not a med spa that did everything (ie: laser, body contouring, etc etc.)

What did you type into Google to find someone who was specialized in facial fillers? That's where I'm struggling

Try "Teosyal Redensity II" Vancouver or "tear trough filler Vancouver". You could also try "dermal fillers vancouver" :)

Great, thank you for sharing your experience! You can see a marked difference for sure! How much Teosyal did you receive?

I had .2 of a syringe in each tear trough my first session, and n a week's time will be schedulng a touch-up treatment (included in my original price) where we will most likely be injecting an additional .2 in each eye.

How is the product settling? Any lumps? Bruising? Redness?

That was a little harder since I had to look through their websites. Usually if you find a nurse injector, they probably do more dermal filler than a standard surgeon :)

Some bruising but fabulous results!

This afternoon, I had my second treatment which has made my dark circles and puffiness a thing of the past!

You'll see that while my first treatment was without any swelling or bruising, unfortunately I wasn't quite as lucky this time. That said, I can already see how smooth the final result is (save for a very minor imperfection on my right eye, that will hopefully smooth out in 2 weeks) but once the bruising fades I know the end result, based on what I've already seen today, will be outstanding. I look 5 years younger!

So happy for you! Your results will look great when everything is said and done. I am going to get mine filled this may. Thank you for posting your story, it makes all the difference to people considering this procedure. How much did you have total under each eye?

We used a full .5 syringe in each tear trough since mine were quite bad LOL. She did say for many clients she uses .4 of a syringe in each eye, with any left over used on the lips.

How has the final product settled? Are you happy with the results?!

Hi Zoe, I'll be posting my final review after a visit to my injector on Friday.

In short, I'm very satisfied with the results! There is a very small imperfection on my right eye, but my injector is going to look at it and touch up on our next visit!
