I've had a large scar across my lower abdomen from...
I went to a plastic surgeon to see about having the scar removed and he told me that just removing the scar would still leave the lump of fat above and that the only way to truly fix things would be to have a full tummy tuck with lipo. He recommended that I go to Dr Peter Bray at Elements, which I did.
It took me a year to be in position both financially and timing wise before I could go ahead with the procedure. I also decided at Paulette's recommendation, to have lipo done on my flanks while Dr Bray was in there anyways. It wasn't that much more money and I am so happy that I did, I look so thin from the back now, it is actually the first thing people have noticed. I also opted to stay over night in their facility where they have a high end hotel style patient room with full time nurses. What a great idea that was. They also have a garage so when my boy friend came to pick me up no one would see me hobbling to the car.
I am 3 weeks post now and feeling much better. The first 2 weeks were brutal. I wasn't in a lot of pain and I had plenty of prescription pain medication. I was mostly uncomfortable and ill feeling, I think in a bit of shock and I didn't want to look at myself because it made me feel sick. It was much better after getting the drains out. Now it is mostly the tightness in my abdomen, tingling in my legs and tenderness in the flank area all of which Dr Bray has assured me is normal. He says that my healing is right on schedule and he is very happy with how it looks.
I will put up more photos in a couple of weeks when the swelling has gone down some.

From the first moment I walked in the door I felt very welcomed and at ease. The facility there is very relaxing and beautiful and there was never any wait. Paulette the Patient Care Consultant is extremely knowledgeable and soothing. She explained how everything worked, what the procedures were and their costs and made some very good recommendations. Dr Bray was very open, friendly and put me at ease right away. He gave me great confidence in his abilities and assured me he could take my scar away and make my stomach look fabulous and you can see by the photos how fabulous. Paulette told me that Dr Bray specializes in tightening the muscles across the rib cage as well as the rest of the abdominal muscles. It gives a bit of a six pack effect and looks like I've been working my abs every day for years. I have had two follow up appointments since surgery with the same level of care I have been shown all along. I have always been made to feel special and cared about by both Paulette and Dr Bray and that I can contact them any time if I have any concerns.
