Face and Neck Lift from Dr John Zavell Toledo Ohio

Real Self encourages posting pictures, honestly, I did not take pictures of the scars and mistakes Dr. Zavell made. No one, including my family, even noticed that I had cosmetic surgery, I came out looking worse, not better, so people assumed I was aging...it was not good. When photos were taken, I would tilt my chin upward, to hide the roll under my chin, thick bangs cover my forehead, the only closeups were taken from a distance then cropped, to make me look better. I planned on not discussing my facelift anyways, felt very embarrassed after spending so much money on the result I got. Blamed myself for not going to one of the surgeons that my Dr. had recommended to me. Now that I have had my revision done, and after seeing Dr. Zavell's ads, I will speak up, hoping to be of help to others. Day before my revision I was talking to a gal at my YMCA class, told her what I was doing, she asked me who, told her. Lo and behold, she said, "good, then your not going to the one I did" Who was she talking about?....Dr. John Zavell. She asked me what I thought was wrong with him, said I didn't know. She replied, that she and husband came to the conclusion that he was drinking at the time they dealt with him, that's how bad he performed. They have not complained, just never went back. I have many pictures of myself with family and friends that I am proud of, but during these past 2 years, I became photo shy, deleted many....learned alot from this experience, just think everyone, we are dealing with our faces! Please be careful.

Face and neck done 2 years ago. Just noticed this Dr. appeared on my PC as "face lift specialist." Had my revision in Oct. 2015, to repair the shoddy job he did on me. I no longer have the scars in front of my ears and on the back of my head, all visible, the wavy scar under my chin has been tightened, and is flat, also not visible. Dr. Zavelle tried twice and could not make it better. Feel and looked as though he simply gathered extra skin from neck and chin and stuck it under my chin in a roll. I did not have alot of excess skin, wonder why he couldn't have removed it, as my new dr. has done. He tried a forehead lift twice, both failed, I am left with wavy type bumps on my forehead. I blame myself for having him perform the second lift, but at that time still thought he was skilled. I am writing this to let people know the awful and expensive experience I had with this Dr. Would advise not going to this Dr for anything! I was sent to him via his Wife's Dermatology Practice in Perrysburg, due to a skin sensitivity, I suspect that is how he gets many of his pts. I had a list of 3 preferred Cosmetic Dr.s from my Dr., Dr Zavell was not on it. He has a wonderful staff working with him, they think highly of him, and he treats them well, that was one of the reasons I did a surgery consult. It was a big mistake!....oh, I am not positive of the date, just know it was Oct. 2013, I truly have tried to push this horrid experience out of my mind, until I saw his ad online...knew then that I had to share this.
