WORTH IT
I'm 5ft 4in and i weigh 168 pounds. I'm officially 2 days post op. I must say that having a breast reduction is the best decision I've ever made. I researched my doctor for two years before I made an appointment for a consultation. My neck, back , and shoulder pain interfered with my love for running. The moment I awoke from my surgery, I no longer had pain in my back or shoulders. I will keep you all posted on my healing process.

I would like to hear more abt your post-op. I, too, an 5ft 4in and weight 175. My surgery is April 9th and I am doing a count-down. I will go from a 34G to a 34 C/D. I look at this site every day. Getting anxious.

Hello jeanne76. First I would like to say congratulations on your upcoming surgery. As of today I'm 3 days post op. The first day and a half. I was a little uncomfortable because of the tubes. I had those removed yesterday (27 Mar 15). I did feel nauseous when it was time to get up and walk around. I walked around for 3 mins every hour. On day one my husband held my hands to guide me around . Day 2 I felt great and was able to walk around by myself. I was comfortable and slept through most of the night. I did feel a burning sensation under my breast from time to time . Once I took my meds the pain went away. I have to be honest I started to feel alot of pain once I had my drains removed. I should have taken my meds before my appointment. Although I was sore, I was amazed at my results. My breast looked great. I had 0 scarring. Although they're swollen I can see a huge difference. The doctor told me that I allowed to shower now. What a relief. I did have a little bleeding under my left breast at my appointment. The doctor assured me that everything was fine. Other than that I slowly getting my energy back. I dressed myself two days in a row. I also brushed my hair for the first time today. I would rate my pain(I had a couple painful moments today) at an 4. Overall I've been listening to my body and taking it easy. My husband has helped out tremendously. I almost forgot to mention. I did become constipated. I finally took a laxative today and it worked. Good luck with your surgery. You're going enjoy the results.

Thanks for the update. I am excited for you. I don't know why, but doctor said I won't have drains. I am glad I won't have that experience to look forward too. I feel sure I can handle the pain and discomfort. Keep doing good.

I've got the same surgical bra as you!! I'm 11days post op now, wearing a size large in that bra (what I was given) and I'm about a size small/medium in shirts, and this bra has stretched out and isn't being very supportive for me anymore, so glad I'm done with it after my 2 week post op on Wednesday! Check out my review if you'd like, I'm about a 34D right now from a 32H. I'm just saying if you get to where this bra stretches out, I'd ask for another one maybe or find a replacement at WalMart or something. You look great and I'm happy you're happy with your result! I am with mine too!:)

Thank you! How are you feeling? I almost felt better the first week than I do here in the second.. Maybe I'm doing more than I was, but just sore, oddly under my armpit/top of the outside of my boob. Keep up with your medication and do not push it! Looking good and I wish you healthy healing !!

I love the after photo in the same shirt! I have a Blackhawks shirt I love and don't wear it out, I'm like Busty LaRue in it it. Or is it Chesty McCoy? Sigh, the names my sister gave me growing up... ;-)

I survived my first week. I'm a little nervous, but I'm returning back to work next week. I walked around the mall yesterday with my family. IT wore me out. I still feel dizzy from time to time. I have my two week follow up appointment next week. I'm terrified to have my stitches removed. I have noticed that the sensitivity in .y nipples are non existent at the moment :-(. I hope this changes. Hmmmmm what else am I forgetting...... Oh, I'm no longer bloated and my belly is back to normal. I can honestly say that Im in love with my new breast.

Wow good luck to you going back to work so soon! Hopefully you don't have to overdue it and be too active. If you do go to work I still wouldn't reach or bend because I've seen so many ppl that do too much and end up reopening the wound or busting a stitch and that causes a major scar... I'm not trying scare you I just want you to take it easy even if you do go back to work dont be afraid to ask for help!!! Good luck girl!!!

Thank you. I work in an office. I'm limiting myself to typing only lol. I definitely don't want any reopening wounds :-(

Dont be afraid to ask for help. People will want to help you, rather than call 911 because you passed out.

Thank you. My recovery time definitely flew by. I'm still going to take it easy once I return to work, but overall I feel great enough to return. I will keep you posted on the rest of my journey. Congrats on your future breast reduction surgery.
