Stomach is less swollen and flatter in the very center, but I still think the doctor completely left out my upper abs and obliques. No differences in those areas at all. I am relatively pleased with my lower ab results though.

It's difficult to tell, but my stomach is finally flattening out. My old clothes are starting to fit more comfortably-- I've especially noticed this with my jeans. DEFINITELY want/need to have lipo on my flanks for everything to truly look proportional though. Feeling hopeful!

It may be hard to tell from this picture, but my stomach is still painfully swollen. My old stretch marks sometimes pop out like veins and my belly button is pretty much swollen shut. Also, my stomach is pretty malleable. Wearing anything but stretchy athletic shorts and pants makes my stomach makes my stomach SUPER bumpy/wavy. Can't wait for this period to be done so I can exercise and take hot baths again.

sorry you are going through this! I would show your doctor these pics that you posted! you hardly even had any bruising? and none at all on upper abs! I had hip/waist/flanks on 4/10 and still have faint bruising. this is my 3rd procedure and I can tell you-each time I looked like I got hit by a truck and then ran over by the car behind the truck!-LOL my doctor is Thomas Su at artlipo in tampa florida. check out his before and after pics! amazing results! is $6500 a fair price for lipo of abs in japan? I completely understand you not wanting the added cost of traveling to the U.S.-did you see photos of his past patients? you really should try to get a refund!

Yeah there is a very noticeable part of my upper abs that were completely untouched by the procedure :/ When I heal more, I'm afraid it's going to be some flatness and then bulky fat right underneath my boobs. Ugh. I bruised some, but only a little toward the very bottom of my stomach. I thought this was weird. I didn't have any drains or fluid seepage (ew lol) whatsoever. I was just stitched up right after the procedure and that was that.
I'm not really sure what a fair price is for lipo in Japan is to be honest. Plastic surgeons are surprisingly few and far between here! I thought this doctor would be a great fit since he studied and practiced in the states, and is board certified. As for photos of his past patients, there was 5-6 on his website... but that was it. I didn't see any other photos. :( Starting to feel really dumb now.
Finally, there's NO WAY I could get a refund-- refunds and returns just aren't really a thing in Japanese culture. Once the money is given over, that's that. (Except at western/international companies with locations here)

OOOO I'm sorry! don't feel dumb! it sounds like you only have so much to work with there so...are you at least going to pursue having him do $6500 worth of work on you?-like a revision?

May 11, 2017
I might if he can do a revision in a few months... but I'm not convinced it will be complimentary. Sigh.

you say your clothes are making stomach bumpy-didn't your doctor fit you in a compression garment?!! you don't want to create permanent lumps and scar tissue!

May 10, 2017
So the compression garment is just a wrap-around velco thing. It's so bulky, and won't fit under any of my clothes, so I've been wearing a compression tank top with thinner material when I have to go to work and whatnot.

May 10, 2017
Also, my surgeon said I could stop wearing the compression garment after one week. !?!?!? I knew that was NOT right, and have continued wearing some kind of compression garment 90% of the time.

I'm almost a year post op and my stomach is still wavy and bumpy and I wore my compression garment for over a month. Wish I never would have done it. Good luck on yours.

It has gotten better since this photo. Things are finally flattening out more but the results are still not as significant as I hoped they would be. I don't need to look good naked, just in clothes lol.
