Neck Lift with Chin Implant - Nashville, TN

ORIGINAL POST

I had a neck lift with a chin implant done...

dannylisa
WORTH IT$6,000
I had a neck lift with a chin implant done approximately 2 1/2 months ago.
I am very pleased with the way my neck turned out. I am not so pleased with the chin implant. I feel it is too big and bulky, my face doesn't look as feminine as it did before the procedure. I plan on having the chin implant removed in a few weeks.
Even though I am not happy with my chin, I still feel my Dr. Is awesome.... He's very kind and understanding!!

Thank you for sharing! Sorry you're not happy with the implant. Your profile pic is stunning. I'd love to see a current front photo of you... :) Do you know what size implant you got?

You have a great chin so i would say definitely remove implant. The neck looks Amazing i think after that lipo it brought out your chin and the implant emphasizes it

Hi, I think your profile looks great. Are you still considering getting it removed? A photo from the front would help as well. Good luck!

what about just having a smaller one put in?

I had a necklift done and the Dr. suggested a chin implant to be done at the same time. My chin was slightly recessive ..... I definitely had a more feminine look before the chin implant . I didn't have a single compliment after having it done..... Just the question, "Can they take out?"

I had the same issue. I have a round face and it made my face look long and full. When I looked at myself in the mirror it didn't look like me. I had the smallest implant too. After just two weeks of having it in, I had it removed yesterday. I am so much happier and it seems to be going back to the way it was before, just waiting for the swelling to reside. I am so happy to have it out!

I definitely don't think you need it removed -- you're only 2 months post op? Mine looked huge 2 months post op because I was still really swollen. Mine didn't look 100% until about 6 months post op. I would say give it time before you make a permanent decision. I think it looks really good and is probably still really swollen.

You look wonderful so far. It is swollen and that can take up to a year to subside. Your overall facial shape is very pretty and still feminine, so that is not an issue in my eyes.

HI dannylisa, I really like your new chin... it could take a few months for a person and folks close to her to get used to her new look.. I would suggest you waiting a bit longer before you remove it. but eventually it's you who has to be happy with you looks, if u really hate it then go ahead with the removal.

Chin implant removed

Having my chin implant removed was a lot worse than I expected!!!
I had this idea that I would go and get a couple numbing shots then the Dr. would make a small incision and he would pull it out.
It didn't happen that way!!!!
I had "many" numbing shots (so many - I lost count) inside and outside of my mouth.
There was a lot of pulling and cutting (trying to cut away the tissue that had attached itself to the implant)
I'm glad I took it out when I did -
It really would've taken a lot of effort to get it out had I left it in longer than three months.

That is not good news. I'm 3 months Into this implant and he's asking me to wait 3 more.

My implant at 4.5 months still hurts :(
November 21, 2014
I feel bad for you !!!! My Dr. told me early on that he only asks that you keep the implant in for three months and then he'll remove it if you don't like it. He feels that most of the swelling has usually subsided by the three month mark. Good luck !!!

Thanks - I'm actually considering going in to insist we get this nightmare over with.

Hi Dannylisa, sorry to hear about this, but at least you got it out early and I suppose the skin on your chin would have or will stretch back. Did your doctor charge you for the removal?
