Day 12 Post-op (Back to work!)
So I had my stitches taken out yesterday. I can't even express how amazing it was to wash my entire face haha. It's still a little strange seeing my reflection with this new nose, but I absolutely love it! On my walk to work, three men said good morning to me very cheerfully, when usually all I MAYBE would've gotten is a very brief smile. I told my boyfriend this and he said "Welcome to being hot" hahaha. This will definitely take some getting used to! I adore my new nose though, and know it's only going to get better because it's still swollen.
Day 9 Post-op
I changed out my steri-strips today and snapped a quick photo with them off because I was so pleased with how my nose looked. I made a side by side comparison to share. Stitches come out Monday!
Day 6 Post-op (Cast off, splints out)
Let me just begin by saying the removal of the cast was actually more painful than the removal of the splints. It was stuck to my face pretty hard, and peeling it off took quite a bit of effort. The splints came right out and I couldn't believe how big they were. Talk about relief! That congestion cleared up so fast after they were out and my nose was cleaned. I still have steri-strips over the bridge to keep the swelling down. It's definitely still tender, roof of my mouth included. My nostrils evened out quite a bit, but are still slightly crooked. Hopefully they even out over time. I'm still incredibly happy with my results and think this is the nose I should've had to begin with! :)
