5 Days In, and LOVE the Results!
Now that the swelling has gone down, and the filler has settled and softened, I absolutely LOVE the results! I love that I don't have that hang-dog look, and it has given me an oomph of additional confidence, knowing that I don't look as tired and drawn as I did beforehand. There is no pain, tenderness, just lovely line-free mouth and nose! Radiesse is definitely worth it from a skilled injector.
First Time Radiesse, Already Love The Results!
I am not a treatment junkie, but I have been getting botox regularly every 6-9 months (my body holds it for a while, which is good for the wallet); and have not wanted to do more drastic things, except for regular facials, etc. But, the marionette lines around my mouth, and from my nose to mouth, I felt, just made me look (and feel) OLD. I am a young 56, and I do as much as I can to protect my face from the strong Florida sun (my neck, chest area are not as lucky and next i will work on that) and do not smoke, so have felt that my skin / face retained a somewhat youthful appearance, except for those darn lines. I saw Dr. Avron Lipschitz at Athena Plastic Surgery, this morning, during their liquid lift event, and after examining me and determining that my undereye dark circles were more hereditary and allergy related, and with my already naturally full cheeks, it wouldn't be best to inject that area; he recommended two syringes of Radiesse for those lines around my mouth and nose. After numbing the area, he skillfully injected areas from the bottom of my mouth all the way up around my nose. The results were immediate - he said I was the perfect candidate for this, as I was not looking for or needing any volume, just a smoothing. I am a bit numb still (the appointment was this morning) and the photos (sunglasses are before, others are after 4 hours and some icing) show that this was the right treatment for me! I am hopeful it will last a long time, and can't wait to see how it settles in even more. Minimal pain now, icing to keep swelling at a minimum and the injections were no more painful than botox. So far, so good?
