Healing Continues
JenfromwhitbyMay 8, 2017
I am one month out and still puffy and red but absolutely loving my results. You can still very much tell I had something done which is a bit awkward given that I wanted to avoid people knowing. ????
Dr. Sigler has emailed several times to check on me and I can honestly say that with the alar reduction and lip lift combined I am thrilled!

Hi lovely, how is everything settling? You must be basically healed by now. Curious to see how the procedures turned out for you. :)

Please post updated pix! I'm dying to see your end results. I'm thinking of going to her for the same procedures (plus revision rhino) and need reassurance that she knows her stuff. Thanks in advance :)

Day Six

Swelling is going down but it is still hard to breathe and the bruising is looking yellowish and not particularly appealing. Bruising under the eyes is from the fat transfer I am assuming. Hard to breathe because the of the alar reduction blocking my nasal passages. Honestly, though, I am loving the difference so far. It is subtle but real.

Looks great. How's your scar now? You must be very happy! You look very pretty'

Thank you. That is the 64 million dollar question :). It looks OK for now. Healing well, no infection or separation or raised lines. Just crossing my fingers because that is the thing that can make or break it for sure.

I had the same procedure 7 weeks ago and I'm very pleased with my results. My scar is almost invisible at this point. It was really an easy recovery for me. Just a little uncomfortable with itching and swelling. I'm amazed how this little procedure made a huge impact in my appearance. You can view my profile.

I looked at your review and you are right, it turned out beautifully and I am thrilled to see how well your scar has healed. It looks completely invisible and only seven weeks!

Hi. Yes my scar turned out to be less visible than I imagined it would be. That was a huge concern in regards to having this surgery. I contribute my healing to messaging and a wonderful scar ointment. It made quite a drastic difference. I'm sure you will find the same results when following your ps instructions to a T! You look like you're headed in the right direction. Everyday is a new beginning. It's fun to watch the progress

Btw.... the fat injections look awesome. What a lovely shape of your face now!!! It looks sooooooo youthful and a very soft look. Was that very painful? How long was your surgery for? Were you put out?

Are you taking arnica and bromelain for the bruising and swelling? Also, there are lasers you can do that get rid of bruises with 24-48 hours. The lasers only work on the dark bruises so if you feel like spending money and not waiting, get your derm to zap them.
April 12, 2017
Thank you. I am taking bromelain as well. I would treat the bruises but right now the stitches are still in and so I am pretty much hiding out at home waiting to join the real world again :)

Did Dr. Sicker explain how she injected the fat in your cheeks? Under or over muscle? And her technique. You look great!
April 12, 2017
:) I knew what you meant. Ha, I never thought to ask that, it is a good question. Is one preferred over another?
April 13, 2017
If the fat is injected superficially it'll cause the cheeks to sag eventually. :/

I am really glad to hear that because you are right, that is the main fear. I think I may order that ointment. I have two products from Skin Actives, scar lotion and restoration cream and I also have a mechanical microneedling machine called a Derminator which I will use probably at about 8 weeks, gently. I just hope mine goes as well as yours.

I guess it's all trial and error. But I've had other procedures and other scar creams, but nothing like the results with BioCorneum. It's the best!!

Honestly, none of it was painful except I got an eyelash in my eye or something like that, during surgery and boy did I learn to remove all make up and brush your eyelashes before surgery. Thank you for the kind comment. I am hoping it does not all re-absorb because I am loving it. I was put out, yes, and so I don't really know how long it was. It felt like two seconds as it always does :). Now it feels swollen and I am just the perfect yellow color (and bored out of my mind hiding at home), but it will all pass!

Was this your first cosmetic surgery? It can become quite addicting! :-). When you look at yourself now, and start realizing that you can turn back time, you automatically start flirting with other ideas to make enhancements! I've been down the path several times. :-) I posted 5 reviews on all my revisions. I hate growing old!!

It was Dr. Alicia Sigler and I did use Skin Actives Scar Gel and Restoration Lotion twice per day for about three months. It has healed really well.
