Have read some wonderful reviews about Dr. Alicia Sigler, very impressed with her charitable work with cleft palate children and decided that she is the perfect person to go to for a lip lift and more. Very excited! I will write more as this process unfolds but really look forward to comments and feedback from others who have worked with Dr. Sigler or had a lip lift.

It felt so distant when I booked my procedures with Dr. Sigler but here it is five days out. I have followed several reviews on Real Self and feel confident with my choice of surgeon but still nervous nonetheless. Not excited about the flight home given the looks I am likely to get and the way I am likely to feel but very excited for the results. I plan on using a special dressing called Puracol Plus AG and an antimicrobial tape to hold it in place. The dressing apparently acts as an antimicrobial while keeping the wound moist and protected. It is also made of pure collagen to minimize scarring. Hopefully it works and the scar is minimal. Any other tips people have to promote healing would be welcome.

Surgery Complete and Day 3

Nice to be home with the surgery complete. The facilities were absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. Dr. Sigler was a wonderful, professional, competent physician. I stayed at the clinic the night after the procedure because it is a clinical setting with a Doctor and nurse on staff. One thing I learned is that Dr. Sigler does FaceTime calls. I did my consult through several emails but having a true face to face consult, where you get to see the person and ask all of your questions would have been much easier. So much gets lost in a series of emails and so I would book a true consultation on Skype or FaceTime and have all of your questions written down and ready to go. So far not a lot of pain, just discomfort and swelling. The stitches are the smallest, finest stitches I have ever seen and I can tell the scar will be minimal. I was told to keep the scar moist and clean at all times and so I have a special dressing applied to do that. Other than that I am taking grapefruit seed extract and berberine to minimize any chance of infection along with vitamins. Will update further as things improve.

It looks like she did a great job! Did someone tell you that wound dressing helps heal faster?

She really did! I researched the dressing online because I know a wound has to be kept clean and moist to minimize scarring. This one seemed to be what I was looking for with the silver and collagen. We will see how it works.

You look awesome! How are you feeling?

:). Still throbbing and achy but I am sooo pleased with the results so far. You were right, she is amazing and I would definitely go back to her if I needed anything else (which at my age is likely). How are you feeling? Is the scar fading? You look fabulous in the pictures!

She is amazing, I'll definitely return to her as well. Yay! I'm feeling much much better, cheek swelling has mostly resolved and I look mostly normal now. I'm loving the results. The scar is doing its own thing, it's white in some parts now and still a bit angry but improved :)) You look much younger already, and you're healing so well it looks like!

You just made my day with your sparkly attitude. So glad to hear you are feeling closer to normal. It helps to know how long this swelling is likely to last and I am glad to hear your scar is fading. I have to be honest, mine is looking less obvious than I expected even now, but then again it has black stitches hiding the red :). I do like the younger look, I must say. So when the swelling goes down do you lose much of the improvement or is it still noticeably better even after the swelling goes away?

Hi, I hope you feel better today and you already look wonderful. I am considering Dr. Sigler for a rhinoplasty but I couldn't find even one person on realself who did this procedure there. You are the first one I encountered that had anything done on their nose with her. Could you please tell me how you decided to do the alar reduction and if Dr. Sigler shared pictures of patients who had nose jobs done by her?
Thank you and I wish you a fast recovery.

Hi there,
I can't comment on a rhinoplasty because I had a rhinoplasty with someone who specializes specifically in rhinoplasties. I chose Dr. Sigler because I knew she specializes in the mouth/nose area, due to her work with cleft palate patients. After my rhinoplasty my nostrils were far too wide for my now much narrower nose tip. I also noticed that my lip had dropped a lot, which I think is not uncommon after rhinoplasty. So Dr. Sigler was the perfect choice in my mind for what I needed to fix and I was right, her work is incredible. Would it be with a rhinoplasty? I truly don't know because it is possible that these are two different things and two different areas of specialty. I do know I would go to her for things like a face lift, etc.

I wanted to add one more thought you might consider. There is a difference between a strictly cosmetic rhinoplasty and a rhinoplasty that includes repairing a deviated septum. I had a deviated septum that was pretty significant and so I went with someone who could fix that. If you do not have that issue then I think you are looking at something less complex. I would just be sure that the person you go with can fix what is truly wrong. Good luck in your search. I wish you well.

I've started the review process and my review will post soon. They said technical issues with the site as it was up and dissapeared when I updated it (weird).
I'll post lots of pics too under the treatment review
Your making an excellent choice going with Dr. Sigler.
She is a Goddess! Your in good hands!
