42 year-old in Seattle, Norwood V. HT is scheduled for Feb 17th. Will update this after the procedure and at regular intervals.
I did quite a bit of research but would be great to hear from any other guys, esp those having HTs in Mexico, of anything I should prepare or watch out for. Wife's flying down with me and we're planning to rent a car and tour Baja the week after. (Yes, I've been there before and will cuídate)
Clinica Neopel seems "too good to be true": an highly-rated HT Dr willing to offer a 1500 FUT grafts for only $4500! $300 flights from Seattle to TJ. Before settling on Dr H, I did a fair amount of research, including receiving consultations and estimates from 5 Seattle-area HT drs (PM me for the list). Clinica Neopel has great reviews on Yelp, Hair Restoration Network and of course many on this site. I found one negative review and I think it might be due to the poster being African-American, which I understand makes the procedure more difficult.
Other patients of CN report some issues with poor communication, payment method bickering (they pushed hard for me to use cash but I was adamant credit only, even with the 3% fee), operating room being entered by non-sterile personnel and possibly excess local anesthetic that caused slight issues intermittently for weeks.
Less than a month to go and I am pumped! Will update this regularly, please comment and/or PM me if you have any advice.

My husband did it December 2017. We are also near Seattle wa. He paid cash and everything went great. They wanted to do it in 2 sessions because it hurts a lot but my husband decided to do it in once. He still taking all the pills and using the cream they recommended. And yes the clinic can be kind of scary but the dr has been on tv (primer impacto) explaining the procedure.

they don't give you a deal 3000.00 for 1000 grafts that's 3.00 a graft if i knew that is basically the same price in the u.s.a. and when things go wrong they won't blow you off

Review of FUT/FUE hair transplant at Clinica Neopel Tijuana Mexico Feb 17th, 2017.
hairlessinseattleMarch 3, 2017
My wife and I flew down to Tijuana mid-Feb for my HT. We rented an extra night at the Hyatt and had the clinic arrange for a driver for the next 2 days to take us around TJ and down to Rosarito.
The entire experience went almost completely seamlessly. There are a few things I wish I had known in advance.
COST=$5250
$4500 (For “extended” FUT+FUE procedure, includes driver to and from San Diego)
$300 credit card fee
$100 additional (necessary) hotel night
$50 food while in MX
$300 flight Seattle-San Diego (1 person)
GRAFTS
Dr Hernandez tells me they harvested an impressively large # of grafts, 3550, which I should have asked the breakdown between FUT and FUE. Her husband “pulled” the FUE (1000?) grafts and FUT strip, while Dr H started the “adding” process, which was continued by her two assistants. Total surgery time was approx 7 hrs.
They concentrated the grafts at the front of my head, densely filling in around the “rhinoceros horn” tuft of hair at front. They put maybe 30% in my crown. This means I will likely need another procedure to completely remove my bald spot, but that’s to be expected.
RESULTS
It is almost 2 weeks after the procedure and I would say 95% of the hairs are still in place. I suspect they will fall out, however, as they do not appear to be growing and have a dry, “pokey” feeling compared to my “natural” hair. The FUT strip scar is still visible but likely will be covered by hair in another week. (hopefully) Sucks having to wear a ballcap at work. The scar is still a bit tender when I lay down or put on a hat. The transplant areas feel slightly “dead” or numb. All crust/blood is gone.
WHAT I WISHED I HAD KNOWN IN ADVANCE
Bring a spray bottle, towel you don’t mind getting some blood on.
Buy several saline bottles at a farmacia, open with sharp knife
Bring a book into surgery
Be prepared to have to adjust in the chair to stay comfy
Order Graftcyte (I think Tricomin Shampoois the new version but unsure. It’s what I ordered after being unable to find any place to buy Graftcyte)
Having my wife there was very helpful to take the surgical bonnet on and off for next 2 days. The clinica staff were very helpful with her while I was inside.

Was a very positive experience. Did you see the YouTube video review I pasted?
Also check their Yelp reviews.
It's been 4 months without any hair growth, but that's normal. I will update with results as soon as my "crop comes in".

Nope. Did you watch the video? Nothing's happened so far as it's only been 4 months.

Hi guys. Quick update. While I was impressed with CN's process, I will admit now that the result was not 100% what I had been hoping for. I mean, don't get me wrong - it's much MUCH better than it was! I can go out without a hat now comfortably.
But my front hairline is still very thin in parts. I knew the crown would still be bald, and would require another treatment to fit, but did not realize that the front would be so thin too. This may be bc my hair is so fine.
Anyway, my final opinion is - worth the value, but do not expect miracles...
I will try to add some pix soon.

Congratulations, that's so exciting! Can't wait to see your results. :)
