1 Month Update

I had astonishingly positive results Weeks 1 and 2. Unfortunately, week 3 I sustained a self perpetuated setback (I drank too much alcohol which I rarely, if ever drink) and did not wear my arm nor full body garment for 2 days as I was attending business meetings and had not properly planned clothing to conceal garments. Additionally, I participated in active sports without garment and fell a few times on the concrete. I suffered extreme bloating and swelling from a combination of these reckless behaviors. Guys, you may think the garment or abstaining from alcohol is nominal - but it's really not. All of the little things are synergistic and add up to positive results.
Things are getting back on track after the doctor gave me a cortisone shot (one of 3 over the course of a month). I am continuing with arnica and the ibuprofen and am supplementing with 1/2 dosage of Lasix (80) as needed.
My breasts seem to have reabsorbed a bit and "dropped" but overall still extremely pleased with the fuller volume. The success of the natural fat transfer shows me what implants could look like if I choose to go that route if the breasts end up reabsorbing significantly. Buttocks are still nicely shaped. Legs are firm. Arms are a little softer than week 1. I have been exercising per usual but have not been exerting myself. I hope to amp it up over the next week or so and start challenging my mind, body, and soul! :)

Over the last month my weight had jumped up 10 lbs but I still fit in my jeans. The doctor suggested it was all swelling. I am now within 3 lbs of my pre-surgery weight.

This will be a long review as I had Body Jet...

This will be a long review as I had Body Jet liposuction for volume, Smart Lipo for skin tightening, fat graft injections in breasts, a Brazilian Buttlift and Juvederm under eyes and in lips. All in a days work! Read on for a fastidious review:
DOCTOR/LOCATION/PRICE:
First off, I open this review by freely and voluntarily sharing that I deliberately chose to get my surgery in Tijuana, MX. While this is a controversial and unorthodox stance my motivation was secured by numerous variables. The primary reason was cost and proximity. I live in San Diego and Tijuana is extremely accessible. Barring the ubiquitous "you get what you pay for" adage, let's all remember we never had a choice in paying for our original equipment manufactured parts. Some of us got the good stuff, others got the rusty stuff. For those of us in the middle and broaching extended warranty time, bargain shopping is wise. Yes. I view the human body as a machine. Cost reduction aside, people are people, biology is biology, neurology is neurology. South of the border does not mean scrambled neurotransmitters and neural pathways on behalf of the surgeon. In other words, while the standard of care may be different, the skill set and training shouldn't be. Anyone remember that tantalizing board game called "Operation" in the 80's? I don't remember the Spanish version - do you?
Moving on:
ACTUAL PROCEDURE:
I am a 32 year old female in fairly good shape. For about 5 years, I had kept my weight consistent with minor fluctuations. Weighing in at 5'4'' and 122 lbs, I have a medium-large body frame and am hourglass shaped. My problem areas were my hamstrings, flanks, inner and outer thighs, and the beginning of natural breast sag. When I bent over, my breast skin would wrinkle and pucker as a clear sign of lost volume and skin elasticity. My hamstrings had sheets of thick, dimpled, cellulite ridden fat. While generally muscular and having good tone, my problem areas were hazardous and my upper legs gave me a heavier shape than necessary. I had much saggier skin than many of my peers.
When working out and doing yoga/cardio for 1-2 hours a day, I was able to manage my proportions and skin laxity. Unfortunately, as life demands have increased I realized this was as good as it was going to get. While I love eating healthy, clean and being active, it was turning into an arduous task and the enjoyment was slowly diminishing. Also, the accelerating aging was affecting my romantic life as I was starting to become embarrassed of the way I looked. I looked like Donatella Versace in a bikini minus 40 years, cigarettes, bank account, and fashion empire. I felt like my activity and discipline level didn't reflect in my body and I appeared lazy or sedentary. After sabotaging a few casual relationships due to my body image issues, it was time to be proactive.
I had Body Jet lipo procedure to remove the fat from the hamstrings/back of legs. Overall there was 4 lbs of fat removed. There was also some fat taken from abdomen, love handles, and to my delight: triceps! This fat was reinjected into breasts and butt for the Brazilian butt lift. I'm writing under Body Jet Lipo as it was the primary goal.
POST-OP: (DAYS 1-4)
Breasts:
I am MOST pleased with my breasts! There is no bruising and they look like natural implants. 200 cc's were injected into each breast. They look phenomenal with no pain.
Hamstrings: Significantly bruised and lumpy. These will require lymphatic drainage massage and workouts.
Brazilian Buttlift: I can definitely tell a difference in volume and firmness. Things are a little "hard" back there, so I will be able to give a better estimate after a few more weeks.
Arms: Small, small, small! I have significant biceps which now appear more defined in juxtaposition to the disappearance of tricep fat. I am excited to work on cutting and shredding the tricep muscle. It is so much more encouraging without layers of loose skin!
POST OP CARE:
I am wearing a small Marena arm compression garment, small full garment, compression spanx underneath (my addition), and start lymphatic body massage/thai massage tomorrow.
I am taking Arnica, ampicillin and metamizole, which is apparently a banned analgesic in the US. Go figure. Basically, it's ibuprofin. Check out the wiki for more information and the theory on the lower profit margins resulting in discontinuation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metamizole
There is A LOT of drainage. Honestly, it's a little revolting and my bathroom has looked like a murder scene. The positive way to look at this is that the more drainage, signifies the better overall results as the goal is to detoxify the fluid accumulation from swelling and the IV's. That said, it's really not pleasant or comfortable.
TIPS:
Wear maxi pads underneath compression garments to absorb the fluids. I read about padded toilet seat, smart. I am taking epsom salt baths to accelerate sweating out toxins and replenishing with magnesium. I am also drinking gallons of aloe vera and diet cranberry juice to help inflammation and detoxify. Finally, I started working out again with elliptical machine on Day 4 for 20 minutes and feel MUCH less sore than I have any other day. Keep up with your cardio! Not an excuse to veg!
I will keep updating my results. My goal is to end up at 110-115 lbs and a Kendra Wilkinson/Eva Longoria type body. In order to maintain my fat grafts, I'm consuming 1200 net calories a day (basal metabolic rate) at a 55/30/15 split of carb/fat/protein.

Dr. Oscar was very knowledgable and has great bedside manner. He is very pleasant and communicative over email and willing to Skype if needed. I constantly emailed him before and after the procedure and he quickly and accurately responded. I find that his attention to aesthetic is very precise. Meeting his wife Mary and their teenage daughter Brigitte, I saw that both looked very natural and resembled the final outcomes I'd like to achieve. In other words, while I was getting boobs/butt lift done in Mexico, I didn't want the outrageous results which have gained a reputation particularly among physicians in Mexico. I just wanted natural results and wanted to remain slender and lithe with youthful lifts. Dr. Oscar understood and we are on our way to achieving these results!
