Hey! You look wonderful! I was wondering how long did it take for you to smile and how long it took for the swelling of the upper lip to dissipate. I'm at 1 month and still can't smile so it's worrying me

Hi, I'm at 2 months and it's just been in the past few weeks that I have been able to smile without my lip feeling stiff. I did start massaging the upper lip from the center to the sides once a day after the first month and noticed that helped a lot. I think swelling/fluid gets tapped up there.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. From the photos I cannot see scars on the corner lifts. Do you have any scars there?

Thank you! I really hope it doesn't effect my smile and all the swelling dissipates. Wish you a successful recovery.

Would love to hear your comment about eyelid scars, how are they now? Are they very noticable?

Thank you for sharing your story with us. You helped me make the decision to have work done by Dr. Sigler. I'm so happy I did, even though I'm only 4 days in and I look like a puffy weasel (I also had fat transfer to cheeks and chin lipo). Your lips look soooo good. I may return to get a corner lift. Did she recommend it or did you ask for is specifically?

Just wanted to post an update since 2months seems to be like a good time for things to settle in. So I'm still really happy with both my eyes and lip lift. (and cheek scar revision but I'm not chronicling that here) The eye and mouth scars are now barely noticeable (though it was very easy to hide the corner mouth lift incisions with stubble until they faded. When I shaved there were much more apparent for the first 3-4 weeks) Also, someone asked me what the small bump was on the outer corner of my eye in the 2 week photos. That concerned me as well and Dr. Sigler said that's where the incision ends so it it initially gathered so the scar heals flat/as thin as possible. Sure enough over the past few months the bump has flattened out and is now gone. The other issue I just remembered is that my lip lift incisions are mostly hidden inside my nostrils so there is basically no scar under my nose. I've seen some photos where the patients scar just goes almost straight across the bottom of the nostrils and it much more noticeable. The only downside (for me) is that I kind of have to shave up into my nostril a little bit but really no big deal. Lastly, I wasn't looking for "tooth show" when not smiling as a sort of posters seem to be, rather to shorten a long lip. A bonus has been that when I do smile you can actually see my teeth. They used to be almost completely covered, and the biggest reaction has been how nice my smile looks. Something I never used to get. Best luck to everyone in their journeys and one more shout out to Dr. Sigler who is just an awesome doc.

As to your "downside" of having to shave into your nostrils, I do permanent hair removal through electrolysis. I went to electrology school in NYC and have a practice here in LA. Although I would like to be the one to remove that hair for you, I am more than two hours away, but I'm sure you can find a certified electrologist in your area. The nose area will likely be painful, so I recommend calling your doctor and get a prescription for lidocaine. Dr. Sigler will probably give you one. I, too, had to have my beard hair removed after my first lip lift in May. I am an electrologist but I can't work on myself, so I found one to do it for me. You don't want to spend the rest of your life shaving inside your nostrils when that hair can so easily be removed.

Hi, I am a 40 man from LA. I’ve been wanting a lift lift for almost the exact same reasons you had yours done. I’m still doing research on DRs and trying to decide which one to go with. I was wondering how you went about deciding on Dr Sigler, and if you were at all nervous about having the procedure done in T.J. versus in the US. Also this may be odd. But after your surgery are you able to whistle, and move your mouth as naturally and. Normal as before , and when you kiss do you feel your lips feel like the are tighter and more restricted than before? Thank you

wow u literally have the perfect mouth now. I LOVE it. I am considering this doc, will have to research. You are the only patient I have read about that went to her, there are a few others I am considering. I would never pay the sick amounts that one person on here mentioned -- it sounds unethical or something to charge 28,000 for a LIP LIFT. Wow.
