Hello all. I am a 28 year old female who has struggled all my life with my weight. I have been up and down between 175 to 190. Now weighting 215 the heaviest I have ever been! I've seen a doctor and found out that I am the border of hypothyroidism. She basically said I have hypothyroidism but I am just touching number wise. So she didn't think it was smart to start me on any medication being that those meds are life long. She doesn't think it is absolutely necessary. She recommended that I diet and exercise. I went on a diet for a month and lose 3 whole pounds. Motivation killer! At this point I have researched the intra gastric ballon procedure and this is something I definitely want to do. I have been in contact with a few clinics but narrowed it down to Obesity Goodbye in Tijuana Mexico. They are charging $2800 for insertion and $1800 for retrieval. In comparison to the 10,000 one doctor was charging me here in NYC, Just to put the ballon in. I have been in contact with the patient coordinator Frank. He very nice and informative. He explained the good, the bad and everything in between. I love the fact I can text him and within 1 to 2 min hes calling me to answer my questions. Has anyone had any procedures done at this clinic before? Any info would be great. Im trying to lose 12 pounds before I get the procedure done. Then I would like to lose 40 more pounds during my 6 months. Im 212 pounds now. Sincerely a desperate woman. Would love any feedback Thanks Loves!

Hello! I plan to actually lose 12 pounds before the ballon and 40 pounds during the 6 months the ballon is in. I am cutting out salt, carbs, and drinking only water. I bought a fitbit and plan to have walked 10,000 steps a day. Thanks!

I scheduled my procedure for 9/22 in my State of Florida. The cost for the entire year's program is $6700. I've met with the physician and I absolutely love him. He was so personable and encouraging and I had no doubt that I wanted to do my surgery through him. Two or three plane trips to FL may be an option. When is your procedure? I'll let you know how mine goes. Wish you the best

Dr. Rishi Ramlogan with Surgical Healing Arts in Ft Myers. I'm wondering if there aren't any good ones in Jersey or even CT? I went to your clinics website. Looks clean and inviting.
Yes they do look quite clean and I have seen good reviews but if I have the option to stay close I would def do that instead. I guess ny is just expensive. And to be honest I looked into NY first and then ventured out into other countries I never really did give any other states a try. But I am going to do a little more research now. And thanks soo soo much for info!
There's a guy in the Chicago Area that will do it for $6000. Look in the Oakbrook area. The staff was very responsive, and part of the appeal of this procedure is that it is low risk and non-surgical. I'm considering this as well and will pick a doctor based on my comfort with the doctor, the staff, and cost. In that order.
Hey there! I am in Alabama and just started researching this procedure. The facility who is advertising it on Facebook has never done one??? They have done tons of the sleeves, ect but I don't want invasive. So how did your surgery go? Was it today? I hope you are feeling well. I had this procedure done 1 month ago.... there is no way I could have gotten on a plane that day...or for several days after.... and I am one of the lucky ones that hasn't thrown up! JMO
I have decided to stay close to home. I found a doctor by me and they are running a special on the procedure so I have an appt on Thursday hoping all goes well. So how are you feeling? Hows the weight loss going so far?

Most of the time I really don't know it's there. Some foods are harder to digest and I feel it then.

So is it common to throw up with this in your stomach. How are you feeling these days. Have you lost some weight? How many calories do they have you on a day?
