My name is Mona and I am a Canadian. In 2006, at a friend’s recommendation, I went to Mexico for weigh loss surgery. In 2008, following a 100+ pound weigh loss, I sought a Canadian plastic surgeon for a tummy tuck and a neck lift. My experience was disastrous. Not only was my tummy tuck full of infection, my neck was left very puckered. Having paid for my neck lift, I demanded he redo the job. The second surgery turned out worse. Over the next couple of years, I consulted with four different Canadian plastic surgeons, who all advised that there was nothing they could do to repair my damaged neck.
After the exemplary medical services received in Mexico during my weigh loss surgery, I contacted my bariatric surgeon, who provided a referral to Dr.---. Dr.---and I communicated through a series of emails and video chats, where he advised that he could repair the damage. In 2011, I went to Tijuana and Dr.--- repaired my scarred and puckered neck and successfully gave me the neck lift I sought. In addition to his fantastic surgical skills, Dr. --- provided an impeccable surgical studio along with an affable personality and personal pre and after care not seen in Canada. I sincerely believe that he changed my life. His surgical skills helped to reinstate my self confidence which was damaged through 2 years of hiding my embarrassing neck.
In 2012, I was diagnosed with a goiter, which is a thyroid tumor. In Canada, although medical services are free, I was advised that it would take approximately 2 years to see a surgeon. Having previously battled with cancer, I was not prepared to wait the 2 years as offered. I again sought out medical solace in Mexico, where within 2 weeks, I had what turned out to be a non-diagnosed cancerous thyroid tumor removed. Although my surgery was not completed by Dr.--- I employed his services to undertake the suturing. As with my previous experience, I was elated with his surgical craftsmanship.
