I had a facelift in Mexico at the CosMed Clinic. I have had over 20 plastic surgeries in my lifetime, all done in the United States or Panama. The one I had in Mexico at the CosMed Clinic was by far the worst mistake of my life !!!!!!!!!! I have never had so many problems. The surgery made my face SAG WORSE. The surgical nurses are horrible. I ended up with a horrible infection and pus coming out of my face where the incisions were. The doctor has never followed up on anything with me. The doctor that started this clinic studied just for a few months outside of Mexico, but did 99% of his training in Mexico. WATCH OUT. I have heard of 2 women that went to this clinic that are badly messed up.

The doctor met with me, took pictures, then told me to go to the bank and wire cash to him. As soon as he got the cash, the nurse called me and said we could proceed with the surgery. The day of the surgery was miserable. We waited for an hour for a taxi, then sat in traffic for another 35 minutes. I was in the surgery unit for 9 hours !!!!!!!!!!! My husband thought I was DEAD. He begged them to let him see me, to see if I was alive. Finally they let him look through the little window, to see if I was breathing. My surgery was not complex. The surgery nurses just sat and talked over by a window and never came over to see if the woman next to me (who was in pain and crying) or myself, needed anything. My face and eyes were bandaged and I couldn't see to go to the restroom. Finally after one hour and a half of being ignored, I yelled for a nurse to help me to the bathroom. I was handed a bed pan, then the nurse left the room. What the hell? The bed was the most uncomfortable slab on foam I have ever slept on. A week later after the surgery, I came back to have my stiches removed and was stuck in their elevator between floors for 26 minutes. This place is a disaster people. Don't go there. It has a really bad reputation. I believe CosMed pays off magazines to write well of their clinic. I have had about 28 surgeries in the United States and Panama and have never had one problem.

Just didn't want to spend a lot of money & didn't want to travel to Panama to save money. Some of my family members are from Mexico. If you want to save money, go to Panama, Costa Rica or one of the Asian countries. Don't go to Mexico. My story of Mexican bad plastic surgery ended a lot better than some of the stories I've heard.

Hello, thank you for your review. Yet, you never mentioned who the doctor was who did your surgery? Can you please tell us who the DOCTOR was? I've heard nothing but good things about Dr Juan Fuentes and have met with him a few times myself and was very impressed. I also know someone who had a FL by him two years ago and she is still VERY happy with his work. Yet, the reviews have been mixed on the doctor who started CosMed clinic Dr. Quiroz. I would ONLY go to Dr Juan Fuentes at CosMed. And, for those reading this, be careful since there is also now a doctor named Dr Alberto De La Fuente (not to be confused with Dr Fuentes). I plan on having surgery with Dr Fuentes soon so reading your review concerns me.

Yet, what also concerns me is that your name is "babslifestylelift" (at least that's what is NOW while I'm writing this). Do you have an association with the Life Style Lift company??? If anyone is reading this now and the name is different then it was changed after this writing. We all depend on non-baised reviews on this site. I'm hoping your review is valid.

OMG. This could have been me writing the post. WORST experience ever. Had one FL in Costa Rica and loved it, but I've taken a lot of sun so after 5 years I needed a revision. It was during the pandemic and CR wasn't seeing patients so I went to Dr Quiroz in Mexico. BIGGEST mistake ever. Will never leave the country again. Not only did he do a poor job, but he sent me home with a gauze pad in my ear! And he told me taking out the stitches was 'easy.' I had to find a physician in Chicago who was willing to take out the stitches and it wasn't easy. No wonder doctors here don't believe in medical tourism if my experience was any example.

So confused. I want a neck lift and was looking in Mexico but decided Cost Rica might be safer. Then a woman wrote me who had gone to CR and by chance is the very dr. I was considering . She has had all nightmares and horrror stories. I am not sure what to believe. There must be people getting great results or they wouldn't still be in business and there wouldn't be so many places. IS THERE ANYONE WHO HAS HAD A FACELIFT AND CAN RECOMMEND A DR. THE reason I am looking out of country is the price and the aftercare. There is no one where I live in the US that I can depend on to help for the 48 hours needed after surgery. thanks
