WORTH IT$7,000
After losing 100 pounds (gastric sleeve), I was left with floppy upper arms and sagging breasts. Working out didn't help, unfortunately, and I knew I'd need surgery. I consulted with a few doctors in San Francisco and San Diego, but decided to see Dr. Gutierrez after reading some great reviews here. My brother lives in San Diego, so it was an easy trip to the border, and I knew I could spend part of my recovery with family. Elsa, Dr. G's assistant, speaks fluent English (she grew up in the states), and is gorgeous and friendly, so helpful! And the Dr. impressed me with his background (med school in Israel) and knowledge and demeanor. (Not to mention price, ha ha.)

I'm SO happy with my results -- very little downtime, and almost no pain. My breasts look perfect! My arms, even with the tattoo issues, look great, too. I like that he uses local anaesthesia -- that makes recovery easier. The anaesthesiologist, Dr. Ice, is also wonderful. The gals at the clinic were so sweet and took great care of me, and the language barrier was not really a problem. I stayed at the Hotel Lucerna for a couple of days after the procedure, just to get lots of rest. The compression garment is a pain at first, VERY tight and my hands were swollen and numb. But it's worth it for the results.

VERY attentive to detail. He is really an artist, I think you have to be to be a great surgeon. He spent 7 and a half hours in surgery, making sure everything was perfect. He is also funny and friendly, which helps with pre-surgery nerves. I can't recommend him enough, and I'm happy to talk with anyone who's considering seeing him. I am going back to him for a facelift!

Glad everything went well and you are happy. Will you be sharing any pics? It would be nice to see your transformation and doctor's skills. Thank you for sharing your journey
Wow that was some pretty extensive art work on your arms...I am sure Dr. G. did a great job making it all blend together... So glad you are doing well and are happy with the results! Things will continue to get better. Would love to see a after picture of the breasts too...Take care and thanks for sharing!
I seemed to have missed some of the photos at first, I now see them...Wow the breasts look great!!!
thanks azdee! i'm very happy with the results. totally worth it. how are you doing?
I am doing great, everything has healed nicely. I am just trying to save up some money to have Dr. G, fix some stuff from my previous surgeon. Had planned on doing it during the two weeks I have off at Christmas, but honestly I just could not bring myself to having to go through recovery again so soon, so I am now planning on the spring...
Yes, I hear you! I'm going back for a facelift, probably in spring as well. Recovery wasn't bad for me, but still it's a pain to have to stop working out, wear the tight garment, etc. I'm trying Embrace scar therapy, so those sticky strips are still on for another couple of weeks, too. You look great -- I don't think I have hte nerve to do a LBL, though I need one.
Wow! Arms and breast incisions look good.
You look great!!! Congratulations!
Hi Cass--wow, you look great! Nice he was able to save your lovely tattoos for the most part. I'm scheduled for gastric sleeve in jan. & anticipating contouring down the road; it was also good to see how your sleeve scars look. Congrats on perking things up!
hi saguaro, you must be in az! (my dad lives in tucson -- love the cacti!). my bf was just saying the sleeve scars have really faded. i think i'm going to have laser done on them, but i'm waiting because i have to go back in for a laproscopic hernia repair. thanks for the kind comments, and good luck with your surgery! it's well worth it, and the recovery is fast. don't worry, you'll get back to a new "normal" pretty quick after recovering (i was scared i'd never be able to drink a glass of water again...). i'll be sending you white light thoughts, and let me know down the road if you want advice about more affordable plastic surgery options.
