I'm so excited to see my weight moving down again. Of course this didn't happen until I got my lazy self out of bed and started exercising.
I'm currently doing 45 minutes of a mix of running and walking on a treadmill and it is the only reason that my weight plateaue has broken. I was 167 from September to January then I started exerting and dropped 10!
Now I worry about my youngest child who is chubby and loves to eat for any reason including to solve her boredom and self soothe. So that is what I'm also working on because I don't want her to go through what I have gone through in life and dealing with weight every single day of my life:(
Finally made it to the 150's

I am very excited to get out of the 160s and enter the 50s. It has been a struggle but I finally made movement downward when I started running on a treadmill.
It is absolutely true that this surgery is a tool and not a panacea for weight loss.
You still have to eat protein instead of filling up on carbs and exercise.
The weight loss has been very slow for me I am very happy that I had the surgery. I feel better, look better and am happier.

The Obesity Control Center is first class all the way. From the driver who picked us up in San Diego to the receptionist, Marina, to the nurses and doctors, everyone at OCC treated the patients kindly and with professionalism. I received better care at the OCC than I have ever received at an American hospital. Dr. Martinez performed the surgery. He is not only skilled and knowledgeable about bariatrics but he is also kind and spent time answering my questions. When it was time to operate I was nervous but Dr. Martinez was by my side talking to me about family until the anestesia kicked in. That was nice bc in the US the doctors that I have dealt with are not as attentive. After the quick surgery I was brought back to my room where Dr. Limon attended to me along with RNs Armondo, Elizabeth, and Dilahla. The staff there is amazing and I plan to encourage my friends to use OCC for bariatric and cosmetic surgeries.
