Pdo Threads Do Not Last, Not Worth Money
Was excited about thread lifts, was touted as plastic surgery results without downtime. I’m an aesthetician in nursing school studying wanting to go into facial rebalancing with fillers. I incurred the costs of thread lifts TWICE with SNATCHED in WEST HOLLYWOOD (relocated to Beverly Hills) at $1500 per visit. I live in scottsdale, AZ. when it comes go one’s face you only want the best. Snatched was THE premier place for PDO threads. I was so excited! My first visit was third week Sept. 2020. The procedure didn’t take long, was uncomfortable, the visible immediate results were euphoric. My pdo threads were placed along lower jaw and sides of the face. Snatched took pictures and posted on their social media. So far so good. then, about a month after I noticed the results not being apparent. Oh dear, I wanted to protect my $1500 investment plus airfare plus cab ride and all the other cost I incurred to receive PDO threads. One can see in my pictures I take great care of myself inside and out so but still had to consider maybe my face/skin wasn’t a candidate for this treatment? I was perplexed and disappointed over why this expensive procedure did not last. Still the social media marketing for snatched was too good (to be true), so maybe I needed more threads? I emailed/called/text snatched (this establishment is great with encouraging and accepting all forms of communication). I noticed late 2020 snatched encouraged all their brow cat eye clients to return for a “refresh” for only $500 if initial procedure was done in the last few months. Great! Maybe I would be charged $500 for more lower face threads as all my results were visibly gone by mid November. I called to make another appointment, was told yes, i was a good candidate just probably needed more threads. Ok, so I was set for January 4th 2021. The West Hollywood location as usual was very boogie with designer chairs, ambiance was great, everything including people polished as usual. At the time there were two main PTO providers at snatched. Both young gorgeous women -best friend featured in excess Instagram video after Instagram video documenting their success highlighting it with bestowing elaborate expensive gifts to their staff. I think potential clients of snatched could mistake the decadence for value. These social media videos -choreographed and seductive to those in search of what pro’s promise to do -none of this spoke to their skill set, or to how long their procedures last. My second and last visit, this time with the other main provider was just a big disappointment. I would’ve appreciated before flying out to LA and incurring more expense the truth: pdo threads DO NOT LAST. Since then I have done my research, spoke to multiple plastic surgeons, in town nurses who offer this procedure, and to other clients who received pdo thread lifts. All say pdo threads do not last, can/will cause scar tissue. Even moreso this notion prevails online with hundreds of reviews from plastic surgeons and clients saying what I already know and paid $3k to find out: pdo threads have a short short lifespan with propensity to cause damage/scar. In my case I had consults with TWO plastic surgeons. BOTH plastic surgeons mentioned a couple of my threads were no longer attached and with me sitting in mirror showed me how thread was visible under skin when gesticulating (facial gestures). I’m inclined to think the staff at SNATCHED knows their signature pdo threads do not last (time is subjective, my threads lasted less than two months each time, most online say just a few weeks to a few months, so maybe threads for some people are worth it) so why would snatched offer a “refresher” option and special pricing on top of already treated areas? It didn’t take me long to uncover the many reviews from literal thousands of people stating pdo threads do not last, the results are too short lived. TikTok plastic surgeons and nurses are rampant with this claim PDO THREADS DO NOT LAST. again pdo results not lasting is subjective, but one cannot ignore the hundred of reviews claiming this. I had some remaining threads removed. I also had a lower face lift this past January 2022. The costs were worth it results so far very much intact. As we age our face and body falls forward and down. Nothing lasts forever. But pdo threads are nearly a scam. I’ve yet to meet anyone who paid for pdo thread procedure and be happy with it and claim results lasted for the next 18 months thereafter, who didn’t need/want a touch up who is genuinely happy with results which is how long it’s advertised pdo thread results can last. I’m not saying no such thing exists, but it’s way more common to find review/video/personal testimonials PDO THREADS DO NOT LAST from professionals and clients than not. This wasn’t a complete waste of my money, my pmu and lash clients appreciate me sharing various procedures so they can navigate the slippery slope of anti-aging/plastic surgery procedures. Also I’m very sensitive to transparency/value for clients. They disclose how thankful they are when I render honest opinion on my services improving their appearance or not. I am not in business to get every dollar, rather I educate clients. I’m sure somewhere in snatched’s waiver for it is stated in that very very small print that pdo thread results are not guaranteed. Sure. NO results can be guaranteed even with a provider’s best efforts, but when looking at snatched media presence it’s heavily advertised how results can last for 18 months. yet I don’t see any clients even 6 months after pdo treatment claiming how wonderful pdo threads are.
