PDO Thread Nightmare
On June 5, 2023, I underwent the thread procedure and paid $2,200. Threads were used to lift both my eyebrows and my cheeks. However, the technique for the brow lift did not produce a lifting effect, although the cheek area did lift.
On September 17, 2023, The owner suggested that I come in as a model for a different technique that could provide the desired lift for my eye area which we had been working on different types of treatments over the course of the past year. This service was offered on a complimentary basis considering I had now paid over $11,659 to continue to not see results I have been asking for. This PDO lift has been a NIGHTMARE!! This is 4 1/2 month later. I asked for a brow lift and received incorrectly superficially place threads that look like veins bulging out of my forehead. I went back in multiple times to have the owner correct all the lumps, puckering months after only to be told just to wait it out and it will get better. Meanwhile I feel more embarrassed each day when I was originally so excited to turn back the hands of time only to have my time stolen and my self esteem crushed.
I have gone to a number of different plastic surgeons and Thread specialists who can only advise me that I have to wait for the threads to be absorbed by my body since I am 4 months post procedure there is nothing else they can do.
If you value your face and self confidence then go to a different place so your skin and soul will not be damaged.

The Lump on my forehead is still very visible and has not shown any signs of changing anytime soon. On a daily basis I am still being asked if I had an accident and hit my forehead as well as concerned coworkers worried about my health since I seem to have a "vein" bulging out of my forehead down below my eyebrow. The severe headaches and pressure have gone from constant to slightly less. All of the psychological and emotional trauma are still at an all time. Thank you for the PTSD. The amount of pain that I have endured for a procedure that did not produce the end results of the intended eyebrow lift has not only made me feel overly self conscious but it has affected my dating and social life that are now non existent. I am too embarrassed to go out with any friends at all these past 6 months. Within this time I had 2 major work events that I had been planning for all year hence the procedure. However the results from this PDO thread procedure made my excitement turn to depression and anxiety. I had to find a makeup artist who could "hide" the unsightly massive bulge that has now become the main focal point of my appearance. Before this procedure my health was my life (well 2nd to my children). I went to 2 different gyms and was very active. But now I lock myself away in my house and only go to work until I feel that the giant protrusion on my face is less noticeable. I can only hope that sharing the truth of my experience at Invigorate Advanced Aesthetics with Robyn will help others from making the same horrible mistake that happened to me.
