How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

PDO Cog Lift Has Left Me Depressed

At 36 years of age, I was showing subtly signs of ageing with my jawline being less defined than it once was. I did some research and decided a cog lift might give me the subtle lift I was looking for. I had seen some negative reviews but of course assumed that would never happen to me.
The cog lift procedure itself was excruciatingly painful and I have a high pain threshold. The results were also very anticlimactic with very little visible difference. Then what followed was bruising, swelling and the inability to sleep in any position other than my back due to the pain. It’s been a week and my face is still swollen but to add to it, I now have a lump that gets worse when I smile. I’ve been told to let it settle but this lump is very clearly the thread poking through my cheek and I’m so self conscious about it. I really wish I had never touched my face and I’ll have to wait months and months for this to dissolve. Please avoid making the same mistake as me, don’t get a cog lift because it really isn’t worth it!
