Thread lift problem

Thread Lift Disaster

kristya217
I had a thread lift procedure done two weeks ago, and I just recently had consultation with my surgeon. I’m very unhappy with the way the thread lift was done on the right side of my face. The surgeon said to let the threads settle for a few weeks and they the threads could be rearranged. These threads look already very settled in the face, so will a month make a difference any way? Are these indentations in my skin normal after two weeks? My right side looks nothing like my left side. Any recommendations are highly valued.

I am going through something really similar and am 13 days post having it done, did you have pdo threads? X

Sorry to hear you are going through same thing. This is Polypropylene cylinderical mesh implant thread type. It is a permanent thread. The surgeon ageed to make “adjustments” to threads with a syringe today. I’m very nervous and hope he fixes it properly, so I don’t have to have a second surgery.

I've had two thread lifts and my face looked similar to yours after two weeks. Each time it took 6 wks for the swelling to go down and 3 months before I counld see the full effect.

So it’s best to wait a few months before making my judgement? They loosened my threads and it looked good for a while, but it still looks very tight now. So just keep being patient then?

What kind of threads did you have? I have pcl (4) as the main ones and then about 40 mono and screw pdo ones in my lower face. I’m regretting it more and more every day

4 pcl on each side that should say

Hey. But is your face back to normal? I am going to have nova threads placed this week. Have you noticed any other negative side effects?

Hi! And are you happy now? I am going to have nova threads placed this week. Have you noticed any other negative side effects? Would you do it all over again?

No I wouldn’t have it all over again, was a total waste of recovery time and money. For the same price I could have got a lower face lift with a good surgeon. Three lumps I had on one side have only just gone! And I had this done in sept

They fixed it!

kristya217
I’m numbed up but I think they fixed it! They used a syringe to release the tight threads. My cheek is puffy after the procedure but it should look much better in a few days. Lots of ice to reduce swelling right now.

It still looks tight even after they loosened threads.

Hopefully it’s maybe swelling that’s making them tight and the will look better soon

Loosened Threads But Still Tight

kristya217
I think I jumped with joy too quickly. They loosened the threads on right side, so it’s not as awful as it was before. However, the threads are still tight and indentation is still massive. The cheeks still do not look symmetrical. I’m going to wait a month for them to settle, but if it still looks bad after a while, I think I will need them surgically removed or adjusted. Hate going under again, but this may need to be done to correct this problem.

What part of the country are you in please? You may want to find a better practitioner. Ask for your money back to get it fixed elsewhere. Just a thought. You should think about posting the name your practitioner because they will hurt other people in the mean time. It's been a while, so has it settled? The indentions?

I agree with Saf559, you should post the name of the practitioner, this way others won't go to them for this procedure.

I agree. If someone isnt skilled enough to carry out the procedure then shouldnt be playn with peoples faces
