Thread Lift

I don’t usually write reviews but this time I wanted to because I was really excited after reading everyone’s positive review about a thread lift. I am 43 and have sagging jowls/jaws. That was my main goal for getting a thread lift. It wasn’t that painful and right after I looked scary. I was all swollen and got a bad dimple on my left cheek. I also couldn’t blink and I started to cry bc the doctor at first didn’t know why and thought it was nerve damage.
After, she was told that it was the numbing cream used. A few hours later the swelling went down & I looked 15 years younger. Everything on my face was lifted. The dimple took about 5 weeks to totally go away but in 2 weeks it looked better. After 4 weeks my jowls came back. Not as bad but def 60%back. I was so happy after seeing them so lifted, but unfortunately for me it didn’t last long. I’m not sure if its bc of the area of my face or the doctor.
When reading some reviews it seemed as people were very happy with their jowls afterwards.
If people think it’s due to the doctor, can anyone recommend someone in the PA or South NJ area. Thank you!

I had threads done over a week ago, and have horrible lumps, can feel the threads under the skin and even had a barb pop through my cheek. My woman who did my threads is one one of the top injectors in the country, so at the very least she knows the facial anatomy well. I do not think credentials is enough to judge by when choosing someone with threads. I think the Dermatologist would need to fine tune the craft by doing hundreds of these threads, and not many people are getting them, so the dr. will usually lack experience. I'm glad you didn't seem to get any lumps, you should count yourself lucky, because many people are having horrific side effects.

Oh wow! When you said a ban popped through, it actually went through your skin? I have one that I can see through my skin near my chin. I’m wondering how long it takes where I can’t see it anymore.

Sorry to hear about your negative experience. Can you mention where you went for the procedure?

Can you please advise where you had your procedure? Was it by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon?

Please disregard my question, as I now see where you went for your procedure.
