I had breast augmentation 8 years ago with Christopher Costanzo. I decided to get implants because I had lost a lot of weight, and with breastfeeding, had empty sacks for breasts. I chose him because his photos of BA are very natural looking, his reviews seem good, and his credentials checked out. His time and interaction during the consultation are minimal, but he wasn't rushed, offensive or rude. I also was considering another doctor that has glowing reviews and considered the ultimate BA doctor, but about $1200 more.Keep in mind that Costanzo is not a low budget doctor either. I told him I was interested in 400cc moderate plus silicone implants , a full C or D cup, which he thought was good as well. The day of surgery he decided 450cc high profile to avoid a lift. I was scared because high profile implants typically don't look natural. On my follow up visit I expressed my concern with a lack of a crease, asymmetry, and low pockets. He brushed this off, stating my rib cage is asymmetrical, and my crease is fine. He could be right, no body is perfectly symmetrical , but the lack of a crease has caused pain to go braless. I hated how far apart my breasts are and the crease pain, so about 4 years after my BA I started wearing nothing but sports bras to push them together with a tight band for crease support. After YEARS of doing this and gaining about 10 lbs, my beasts are much closer together and starting to get a slight crease. My breast have gotten very soft and natural over the years, but if I had not switched to sports bras I think this would not have happened. I am very happy with choosing silicone rather than saline implants (Mentor). I still wish I had originally got the 400 moderate plus implants, the 450cc has put me in the DD category which is hard to fit in shirts. I regret not spending the extra money and going with the other doctor. I'm not saying my breasts look awful or botched, but I do have a slight bottoming out and had to come up with my own may to make them better. If you look carefully at Costanzo's BA pictures, they do look natural , but there is very little breast crease. This hurts! The weight of the implant makes this painful. Is he a bad doctor? No, but I wish I had spent the extra money and got exactly what I wanted.
