Glad things are moving along for you & that you're feeling better! Thank you for sharing your experiences. I have July 12 surgery date & am expecting the first 7-10 to be pretty brutal. Happy Healing!

TT five days post op CONSTIPATED

Well I can honestly say that this morning could possibly have been the worst experience ever! Can you say constipated ? I've been taking Collace and realized last night I probably needed more. I sent my daughter to the pharmacy and got suppositories. Mistake 1, I should have done it last night but was afraid. So.... This am at 5 I took another Collace. At 7:30 am I felt movement and was relieved I wouldn't have to use the suppository (mistake 2 should I have done it).. It should be noted i drink TONS of water and only had one pain pill yesterday and drank a prune juice ... Nothing. Secondly, in my normal life I go like three times a day - so obviously VERY REGULAR. Anyway, two hours later of yelling moaning and probably leaving scarring memories on my 12 year old son thinking I'm dying (did I mention my husband was in a golf tournament and not home?) I was done. Omg seriously alls I kept thinking was I'm gonna die, this won't end, and I'm tearing every stitch !!! About 2/3 the way through I did manage, by some unknown source of determination and some purple gloves they sent me home with, I wedged the suppository up there. Again, I don't know how I did it! Clearly that worked because after the initial plugs I'm now free! I feel like I could run a marathon - well if it weren't soo completely exhausted ! I'm glad I got the drains out yesterday !!!

Did you ask the Dr. about a stool softener? I have my TT this Friday I am dreading the potty part
I did and have been taking one a night. I didn't think to take more cuz I wasn't eating a whole lot and didn't want to over do it. Clearly that was a mistake - take the three a day and buy the suppositories just in case. I am traumatized
Thanks for the tip.
OH, gezzz that's usually a problem for me on a good day... I'll double up on the softeners and such... yikes!

Just heard about this site...just got tummy tuck...

Just heard about this site...just got tummy tuck this Tuesday, May 10. Drainage tubes out today and stopped pain meds today. Just logging in to see what others are going through too. Pain meds made me VERY nauseous! Also my upper abdomen seems to be more painfull than lower. Like it's swollen and uncomfortable. And I still haven't gone #2...scared!

Hey girl welcome to the community.  You are going to be sore for a while so hold on.   Go super easy on yourself for the first 6 weeks post op.  Baby yourself and be patient.   The drainage tubes are definitely not fun.
