I agree with the other review below. Too busy. Doesnt answer questions. Not detailed in answering questions when he does answer them. You feel rushed. Only cares about making money. Every surgeon is the same way. At the end of the day, its all about money. But take the time to make your patient feel like you are listening to what they want and care about their recovery. Explain what you will be doing in detail if the patient asks. I had no idea what I was getting into, but because of his before and after pictures and price, I decided to go with his over Oakley Smith. Dr. Smith quoted me a ridiculous price for what I wanted. I am hoping it turns out well. BUt was left with so many questions about what to expect and what he was did to me. Also, its VERY concerning that he picks and chooses which emails to respond to. There were pretty serious concerns regading my recovery that he never responded to. He did not let me know the risks either. Staff is ok but not great. Have never seen a smile on their faces. Not approachable. If my nose turns out great I will be happy. But will NEVER go to him for further treatments or procedures due to his lack of care for his patients.

Thanks so much for sharing your opinion about your doctor.

I would love to add your experience to the Rhinoplasty community, but it would be helpful if you could provide some more detail about your experience with your procedure/treatment. I suggest adding before and after photos - optional of course, so that other community members can use your review as a guide through their journey.

Looking forward to your response so I can add your review to the Rhinoplasty community.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I'm one of Solomon's patients. Read my review on this site to see what happened to me too. I was wondering how far along in the recovery you are and what your nose looks like now.

Hi there, I am also one of Solomon's patients. I have had my nose worked on 3x by him and everytime after a few months it goes out of shape and my tip drops and it looks bulbous. I am thinking about going to Dr. Oakley Smith to have him fix my nose. I noticed you mentioned him in your post but said he was too much money. When I first got my nose done back in 2007 one of the reasons I chose Solomon was his price. It was about $1500 cheaper then the other doctor I consulted. When it comes to your face price should not matter. If I had spent just that little bit more and gone with the other surgeon maybe I wouldnt have had all these problems with my nose. I shouldnt have had to have my nose worked on so many times. Its ridicules and I think of all the money I spent going back to him. Please read my review. I have pictures on there too.

Dr. Oakley Smith charges a "ridiculous price" because he has the necessary experience and also gives 100% to each patient. He spends as much time in consultation as you need, he answers all questions via email, his office is well run, and he doesn't rush anything. If you want to save money, save money on your groceries or your car insurance. DO NOT try to save money when someone is about to cut up your face and change your life forever. Pick the best. If you can't afford the best, keep saving until you can.

You are absolutely correct. Still very disappointed in how my nose turned out. i do not agree with him returning emails though. After my consult, I emailed and didn't hear back from him or his secretary.

I had my surgery a few weeks ago, so far I've emailed them 4 times, 3 times Dr Smith responded himself, and the other time his secretary responded. I guess he might prioritize those who re already signed up, but Dr Smith once answered an email at 1am on a Saturday after my surgery! I think that's remarkable.

I'm happy for you and am glad you went with him. I'm strongly considering going to him for a second opinion. I should've went with him in the first place!

Good luck! I might not have understood your post correctly but it sounds like you have already had surgery and are considering a revision? Revisions are difficult, definitely worth going to the best surgeon. If someone failed a primary, they'll probably just make it worse in a revision. One thing I learned in my ordeal in all this is that at the end of the day, you have to evaluate surgeons realistically. They are all human and make mistakes. But the best surgeons know their skills, know their limits, and communicate things honestly. When I was researching Dr. Smith, even he has some negative reviews. Everyone has bad days or makes mistakes. But in aggregate, you can clearly see some doctors seem to make far more mistakes than other doctors. I also, quite frankly, saw a trend where certain surgeons would be named in sentences like "doctor X botched my surgery so I went to doctor Y to fix it". It's almost always due to cost too. You might save in the short term, but not if you end up going to the more expensive guy anyways for a revision.

I thought I was the only one that had this very same problem with Solomon . Never answers questions detailed or clear and even when answered "which he picks and chose " which one to answer will be so confusing to the point u will be left questioning your own sanity as the answer will not be as close as to the questions asked . Thank you for your review . Very helpful .

I completely agree with you! I wouldn't even go back to him for a revision. He is about quantity rather than quality for his clients. What a mistake I made. I should have spent the few thousand more and went with Dr. Oakley Smith. If I had the money I would go to Oakley for a revision. My nose looks worse now. I miss my old nose. Even his staff are incompetent and unfriendly. The "nurse" that took off my cast had me screaming in the room. And only then did Solomon run down the stairs to see what was the matter. Huge regret!

I'm so sorry to hear that . I exactly know how you feel . This will be the biggest regret of my life to . But please be positive as you have a chance . I don't . I instead have to deal on daily bases with painful face ,eye burning ,redness and swelling he absolutely deformed my face eye bags my god and u say his "nurse " took your cast off oh dear I would not let her nowhere near my face She prepared for me the filler and yet when Solomon injured my face I was back In his office while crying my eyes out he was taking his time to educate her on the filler but yet asked me to come see his "nurse" if I have any concerns . Terrible . Not huge regret but let me say this . I wish to god and i will give everything I have without a second thought just so can turn back the time and never cross paths with Solomon . He has no compassion for he leaves his patient Injured and without care and answers and does not concern him the suffering and the hurt . Terrible .
