Revision Incisions
WORTH IT$9,975
Update to my revision! Attached photos of the incisions, but forgot to grab a photo of the small incision by my knee.
The recovery pain from the revision definitely felt worse the first few days, likely because it was done under local anaesthetic. More burning, more tenderness to the incisions, more pain over all. BUT, I’ve definitely felt better, more mobile, more able to walk and move. Steadier on my feet, feeling stronger because there’s no recovering from a general anaesthetic, so that’s really great. I am happy I booked the week off work and next week I’ll take it as it comes, likely do some part time days to ease in. I like to baby my recovery and incisions!

Hi are you happier with your results since your revision? I am five weeks out and I’m also anticipating a revision to have a bit more skin removed in my top inner thigh like you did.
I’m very happy with my results post revision, it’s actually coming up in a year now since my second revision. Definitely give yourself a bit more time to heal before committing to a revision, the amount my legs changed week to week was crazy!

Revision Surgery
So I had an appointment with Dr. Ladak back on February 12th for a follow up and we discussed a revision. I wanted to get it done ASAP so I paid a bit extra to get in at Meadowlark on March 1st instead of waiting til May for the Kaye Clinic.
Revision was done yesterday and took about an hour to an hour and a half. Showed up at 11 and out by 1pm. It was performed under local anaesthetic, which was interesting! I’ve never had a procedure under local before. The worst part was the needles for freezing, and boy was there a lot of them. As usual Dr. Ladak and the staff there were all amazing.
The revision was a bit more extensive than I thought it would be, I probably have 12 inches of incisions, and it feels like the pain/burning/tightness might be a bit worse than the initial surgery, but I honestly can’t recall. It makes sense though as it was done with just freezing. I haven’t had a good look at the results yet as they are wrapped up in tensors and bandaged but it does definitely look like my concerns were addressed nicely.
I’ll upload the pics of the mark up for the revision and will take some of the work done later on.

Surgery was 3 months ago as of yesterday, which feels crazy. I’m back at work full time and on my feet 6+ hours a day. My legs get tired, they swell, and by the end of the week I’m exhausted haha. BUT I also wear 3-4 inch heels most days and do so with no leg pain, however it’s obvious how weak my leg muscles are.
I’ve started working out in earnest again and I’m knee deep into getting my personal training certification. My leg muscles are weak and it doesn’t take much to make them tired and the delayed onset muscle soreness is actually pathetically bad. But it’s getting better! I’m going slow and letting my body take the lead in what I’m ready for. I’m back into my pole fitness as well (#supportsexworkers who pioneered the fitness/art) and tried my first thigh grip the other day. It hurts LESS after surgery! It’s so much easier to grip the pole without the loose skin and far less painful. The skin pull before was definitely causing a lot of the pain in the grip!
I’ve added updated photos of the incisions. I’ve also got a lump formed under the one incision, Dr. Ladak is thinking it’s just scar tissue build up, I’ll massage it every day up til my February follow up and see what happens!
Also threw in a still frame of my pole practice the other night, scars currently at a 5/6 foot distance, filter applied.

Are you using the silicone scar gel or sheets? Supposed to help with the scar. I just started on my thigh lift 5 weeks out
All I have used is Mederma Advanced Scar gel. I started at about 7ish weeks post op once the incisions were fully closed and healed. Used it once a day for 8 weeks and still apply it occasionally when I remember.
The biggest thing I believe helped my scars (aside from my surgeons hard work) was babying my recovery and paper taping my incisions until they were completely healed. The areas near the groin where the tape didn't adhere as well have much wider and more noticeable scars because they didn't have that tension relief from the tape consistently.
Yeah i think the “intersection” is always the trickiest. My incision opened a little bit closed up faster than my arm lift. You look great!

I am less than a week post-op and my pain for the first two days was awful. I had lipo on the knees only and the full thigh lift as you. My cost was $8400 and I’ve looked at my results and I don’t see a huge change at this point. I know there is swelling, but I guess my expectations don’t match the results so far. I’m feeling somewhat disappointed, but I keep telling myself to give it time and see if there’s more changes as I improve. Oooh! And you are exactly right about the toilet. I use the pee funnel or hover. I just can not sit on the seat without it being so painful.
I hope you are doing and feeling better about your procedure and recovery now. The first weeks are hard and definitely demoralizing. I actually just had a scar revision yesterday (about 1.5 years out from my original surgery, and a year out from this revision) and I’m already sitting here wondering why I keep doing this to myself haha BUT I do feel like everything is worth it as I move forward. My thighs always feel a bit tight and there’s times where they are a bit too sensitive still, but I am still very happy in the decision for surgery. I think I have paid 10k all in (I only paid for the second revision because I wanted it faster, @$500).
There are gonna be hard days ahead for sure. It was over a year before my legs felt more normal and the swelling was more or less gone. On occasion my ankles still look puffy though. Plastic surgery is much harder to recover from than I anticipated but I do love my results and feel it’s been worth it.
At times I wonder if it would’ve been better to go with a different surgeon that would have been more aggressive in results, making my thighs smaller and tighter but I also believe recovery and scarring would have been much worse and I’m grateful for my surgeons conservative approach! You can always get a revision to take more off but you can’t get bad results built back up as easily!
My thighs just aren’t much smaller. The roll of loose skin at the top is gone and that makes me happy. Moving loose skin out of the way for sex was very humiliating. Other than that being gone, I don’t see a lot of change.
I also wish I’d went with someone else that would be more aggressive. Recovery may have been a little harder, but if I’d see the results I would feel like it would be worth it.
I’ve thought about asking for a revision, but do I really want to go through that pain again??
I plan on discussing my options with him on my 5wk checkup.
I’m curious about the scar revision. How much was it? What area and how painful would you rate it? My right side of my groin area is raised. I know I need to give it a year because scars take at least that much time to be completely healed, but I’m pretty sure I will end up needing it.
My doctor didn’t discuss revisions with me until I was at least 3 months out and the initial swelling and healing had done enough to see what my thighs looked like. (We corrected a shape imbalance and some additional loose skin.) It’s really really important to allow the healing time before jumping back in. It’s crazy to me how much my legs have changed since Day 1. The swelling is seriously deceiving!
I’m going to practice more patience and look forward to seeing your results. Your encouraging words definitely make me feel better knowing that it took someone that has also went through the process time to see the results as well.
