One week and 1 day post op and I'm doing well apart from probably over exerting myself with too much movement, I'm truly amazed how I'm recovering. I'm here to share part 2 of my transformation process. One year ago on 2/1/16, I underwent a LBL, LP and BA with Dr. Hubbard. You can read my previous review, My Reward for All my Hard Work - Dallas, TX under Hopeful0973, The results were truly amazing and I just new to finish my transformation after losing 120 lbs, I needed to do my thigh lift. Of course, I'm going to choose the best doctor I've already did previous surgery with and so round 2 was a week ago. For starters this is how I feel about Dr. Hubbard and Staff. The man is humble, funny, makes you feel comfortable, caring, truly honest but most importantly, I feel he's just top notch and absolutely a genius at what he does. He has gone beyond what my expectations were this second time around as he wanted me to have the best results. Not only is he great, his staff is absolutely fabulous to work with. I want to give all the girls a shout out, Kate, Julie, Tabby, and Rheanna. They are all super friendly and as caring as Dr. Hubs as they refer to him.
I'll go into details next on preparing and recovery for this surgery as I believe it's important for this community to know that it's a very intense surgery and recovery but so worth it. I'll post pics as well on my next post. Till then... Positive mind equal positive results.

Day 9 Recovery
As I lay here in bed with my legs propped up can't help but smile and knowing that in a few months, I'll be the person I've always envisioned. I was big girl trapped in a little body. All of my life after pregnancy i struggled with weight issues and after getting divorced I lost quite a bit of weight but then gained it back with full vengeance. 9 years later I can truly say I've worked my tush to be where I'm at today with my body.
Now let me make this straight, it wasn't for vanity but more so for my health. I'll explain sometime later.
Today I want to share what it feels like to have a inner thigh lift. As you all know from reading my first review on LBL, BA and LP, this one is by far the toughest.
Why is it tough, well it's hard to bend and there's quite a bit of stiffness, soreness and pain. I can't lie to you all but I'll tell you it's all worth it. I never regret any decisions I make and I'm a happy camper that at day 9 I've had this surgery done. Scars aren't the prettiest the first few weeks from looking at reviews but my doc has done a fabulous job. I know I'm going to heal super nice and like my LBL the scars will be a slight reminder of what I've been through. I love it!!!!
Now let me tell you be prepared to have a walker for the first few days, make sure to have at least 2 sets of compression leggings and a good round of laxatives. The meds make you so constipated the first week that if you're not prepared you'll suffer quite a bit. Not here to scare you because I can tolerate pain very well. Yes I suffer from kidney stones and that pain cannot be compared to this. Kidney stones are no joke so what I'm trying to relay to you all is you'll be experiencing discomfort with Inner thigh lift but it's worth it. So I'll leave you with this thought... saggy skin on legs to me was just unacceptable to look at on myself. I'm very petite but that was the one last area that really made me cringe. I'm a poolside lover and beach type of chic so I knew this was a must. Here are a few pics of how I'm looking so far.
May your decision be helped by my review and the coming posts. Till then my dearest friends on RealSelf... life is too short not to be happy so take the step to do YOU.
Much love.

Please update how are those thighs

April 6, 2017
Hi It's my time to shine50. Gosh so sorry haven't updated lately. I'll do so shortly.
April 18, 2017
Can I ask how long it took you before you felt comfortable getting in and out of a car?

April 19, 2017
Hi Casey.
It took me a good 2 weeks and I made sure I would leave early enough to avoid stop and go traffic.
Truly is better to wait 3 weeks to start doing more movement but everyone is different.
April 19, 2017
Thanks for that. I'm worried about that b/c I have two young kids. Sometimes I have to squat down close to the floor with my 3 year old. How long until doing that would you say? Also, kind of personal, but how long until you felt ok being intimate?

May 10, 2017
Gosh you have small kids so to be totally honest you'll need some help the first 3 weeks as you won't be able to do heavy lifting. You won't be able to be intimate for a good 4 weeks if not the full 6. Everyone though heals at different paces. Just make sure you take your time and you're feeling better.

Thanks. I decided to put my daughter in full time summer camp and my son in full time daycare for the month of August. That should give me 4 weeks without the day to day. I feel guilty but I don't think I'll be able to keep up with them. It will never really be the perfect time though and I'd rather get it over with sooner rather than later so that next summer I can enjoy the pool with them!

May 11, 2017
Casey... don't feel guilty as you're doing something wonderful for them and happy mommy... happy kids

I look forward to reading your review. Again the best of luck to you. Take care of yourself :)

10 Weeks Post Op
Gosh it's been a bit since I've updated my review. 10 weeks yesterday and I'm loving my results but boy this has been a tough one to recover from lol. I've had major swelling on legs which I hear is pretty common but mine seem to have focused on feet especially left one. I do have to admit I went back to work just 2 weeks after surgery and I believe it was way too soon. Luckily my work was pretty flexible and allow me to go home and finish half days for 2 to 3 weeks after I had returned. So back to my thighs of course... I would have to say it's been worth the swelling, the pain and even the scars which I know they will begin to disappear with time. But of course I want to be honest and open so please know that for me it's been the toughest surgery. Guess you don't realize how much you depend on your legs until you have this type of surgery. At 10 weeks I still experience some discomfort which is more a very tight feeling and some days I still depend on a pain med or muscle relaxer. Again I think it has to do with sitting in a very uncomfortable chair at work that by end of day I'm very sore still. This week the left foot swelling had gotten better and my energy seems to be getting better as well. Forgot to mention that this time around it's taken me longer to get my energy back to normal but it's coming along. So further a due here are some pictures from 2/20/17 at almost 4 weeks post op. Promise to take pictures tonight and add those.

You look amazing I'm contemplating this surgery for may 2018.

April 18, 2017
You look awesome for only 10 weeks out! Do you have any before pics to compare this too?

April 19, 2017
Hi Casey,
Yes I have another review with pictures from last year with before and after. Check out my other review titled... My Reward for all my hard work

Just saw it - you look great - your Doctor did an awesome job! Was the thigh lift harder/more painful than the TT for you?

May 10, 2017
Sorry just replying but the thigh lift was definitely more painful but worth it to me. Just a bit longer to recover.

you look fantastic! How did you go about finding your doctor? He did a fantastic job. What were the reasons you chose him? I am having this done by doctor from Chicago. He is one of Chicago's top doctors and made the Castle Connolly top doctor too. So I think he should be really good. Just doing my checking of what I can find out anyway, but he seems to be really good~I think~

Thanks so much and best of luck on your journey.
I chose Dr. Hubbard based on reviews here on RealSelf and then having a consultation with him. I had seen other docs and just wasn't happy. Then he put me at ease and gave me he most honest consult around. So I chose him and boy am I glad I did. His staff also played a part on my decision.

you look great! Having my surgery next Friday. I hope I have great results like this. Do you have before pics... maybe I missed them somewhere. I’m only taking 10 days off. I know that’s not ideal, but I will do light duty and come home early when I can.
