Day 3 revision
WORTH IT
I got to shower today. Everything is so stiff and sore. My inner thighs are really swollen but at least I can kind of sit up to eat today. I'm off to see my doctor. There isn't much bleeding through my garment anymore so that's a good sign. I'm having a lot of anxiety about how to get in and out of the car.

I've been home for 4 hours. I can't believe how much more mobile I am this time versus last! I was afraid the pain would be greater doing both sides at once, but thankfully as long as I lay on my side, I'm pretty comfortable.

Hi g8rubb: Hope you are doing well and not in a lot of pain. Did Dr. Leigh say what caused you to have to get a revision on your thighs. Did the skin just stretch back out? It looks like your weight stayed stable.

I'm in a lot of pain today. The incisions are really tight and I can hardly move. It will be like this for about a week yet. I get to shower later today and am really looking forward to that.
My weight stayed stable but my bodyfat percentage went down about 5%, from to 20 to 15, so the skin looked loose again. I also am very physical so that can cause the skin to loosen up over time.
I changed my girdle last night and cried when I saw how smooth and tight my skin is so far! I can tell it's not air brush perfect, which I was not expecting, but I would say it looks 75% better already and will continue to heal over the next year.

BTW, I don't know what I am doing wrong but I cut and pasted the link to see your blog and a bunch of videos come up but I didn't see yours.

Well, that's all you can ask for. I would take a 75% improvement any day. And yes, the fat does give your skin an anchor of sorts. I also think that when you do gain weight like from your thyroid problem, the skin looses it's elasticity. Even after the skin is cut away, I wonder if the remaining skin still has less elasticity than before. Plus add in age, not that you are old, lol. I wish I was your age. I think a lot of woman think they have cellulite, but what it really is in some cases in lost of collagen. Again, the skin doesn't have as much collagen to hold it up. That's why you and everyone else is always hiking up their skin and then it looks smooth. And 5% body fat is AWESOME!!! You go girl. Hope you feel better soon.

2 year update (revision surgery)
This morning was my revision surgery! We retightened the posterior thigh and buttocks, and also added in anterior thigh lift and abdominal tightening.
My pain is pretty tolerable right now. My surgery was at 730 am and I work up in recovery at 915. The only pain I'm having so far is my left butt cheek. I thought it would be a lot worse, but so far, so good. I took a 365 degree before video, so people can see the difference. I'll post later today and let you know how the pain is.

I had the same surgery under the butt. Some due to natural genetics, but mostly due to having four babies and stretching my skin out. I think another alternative would be adding volume to your butt with an implant. We lost volume as we age anyway. If my skin stretches out again I am going for the implant over more scars. The scarring from the infragluteal fold excision is awful. I’m waiting for the scars to fully mature and I’m tattooing over them since they’re so dark.
