Now a Thigh Lift

UPDATED FROM Pisces girl 27

Two Years Post Op

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years since I had my thigh lift! I’ve actually had 3 more surgeries since then; 2 breast surgeries and my butt lift. The butt lift was really the icing on the cake as far as my plastic surgery/skin removal journey. And when I had my bitt lift, I added more lipo to my inner thighs and this really made a world of difference regarding my overall satisfaction with my thigh lift results.

The scars on my thighs tho are still really wide and dark compared to all my other skin removal scars. I actually have a tattoo appointment in July to cover the scars on my legs. Still, I’ll take the ugly scars over the loose, hanging balls of skin between my thighs any day! I’ll come back abs update once the tattoos have healed.

6 Months Out

Wish I could write about how much I love my thighs and how great they feel and how the revision fixed the top of my inner thighs. But, nope. While they do look better than before, and the seromas are all gone, I don’t love them. It’s a lot of money to spend for a subpar result. Maybe I just had unrealistic expectations? Maybe I will just always have ugly legs; and now with ugly scars to boot! I assumed I would scar like I did with my tummy tuck and breast lift; super light and fine lines. Nope. I have wide, dark purple colored and some raised scars that are feet, several feet long :(

However, do I have loose skin? Nope. And would I do the surgery again? Absolutely! I would ask more questions of my surgeon so I would be able to better adjust my expectations. I’m going to start laser treatments on my scars this week and will document that process. If I don’t see much improvement there, I will look at tattooing over them. This is such a long, long, process!

who did this surgery ?
Dr. Carlisle in WDM. He’s been amazing to work with and has done 3 other surgeries for me since this one. He also did a revision and additional lipo to get my thighs looking so much better than when I wrote my last review. I love them now; it’s just a really long recovery/process!

Revision Complete

On Jan 7th I had my revision to my upper thigh area bc there was still some loose skin remaining as well as a tiny pocket of fluid. Also, just the week prior, I got an infection in one of my seromas that I needed an antibiotic for, but this apparently has helped to resolve the seroma, so I was able to avoid incisions to remove the seroma… that was the good news.

Not necessarily bad news, but when I went for my revision I expected my surgeon to go down the vertical incision that leads from my pelvis to my knee to remove skin and pull it tighter. Only to get home and realize he went through the horizontal incision and then created new incisions to go under the groin area. They had given me 4 Valium to take and so I don’t remember much of the procedure and couldn’t tell where they were cutting. I almost wonder if they shouldn’t have done the groin incisions from the start… I guess time will tell. Here are some current before revision pics.

Wow, having to get a revision seems daunting. But, we've come this far. This has been the hardest recovery for me and I've had MANY surgeries. Good luck with this revision. I hope you don't have anymore difficulties! You look REALLY, REALLY GOOD!!
I really appreciate you following my story and i hope it was helpful. I researched the heck out of this surgery and couldn't find much out there, so I was determined I was going to share my experience! The revision was a bit of a shock as I wasn't expecting groin incisions and they're a big pain in the butt, literally lol! And you're so right when you say we've come this far; thank you for that and your comments; means a lot!
You're welcome! Sending healing vibes and energy your way! Hang in there! :-))))
wow...very helpful. I was going to get a thigh lift this coming week- im thinking of an alternative...lipo maybe?
