6 Months Out
Wish I could write about how much I love my thighs and how great they feel and how the revision fixed the top of my inner thighs. But, nope. While they do look better than before, and the seromas are all gone, I don’t love them. It’s a lot of money to spend for a subpar result. Maybe I just had unrealistic expectations? Maybe I will just always have ugly legs; and now with ugly scars to boot! I assumed I would scar like I did with my tummy tuck and breast lift; super light and fine lines. Nope. I have wide, dark purple colored and some raised scars that are feet, several feet long :(
However, do I have loose skin? Nope. And would I do the surgery again? Absolutely! I would ask more questions of my surgeon so I would be able to better adjust my expectations. I’m going to start laser treatments on my scars this week and will document that process. If I don’t see much improvement there, I will look at tattooing over them. This is such a long, long, process!

Revision Complete
On Jan 7th I had my revision to my upper thigh area bc there was still some loose skin remaining as well as a tiny pocket of fluid. Also, just the week prior, I got an infection in one of my seromas that I needed an antibiotic for, but this apparently has helped to resolve the seroma, so I was able to avoid incisions to remove the seroma… that was the good news.
Not necessarily bad news, but when I went for my revision I expected my surgeon to go down the vertical incision that leads from my pelvis to my knee to remove skin and pull it tighter. Only to get home and realize he went through the horizontal incision and then created new incisions to go under the groin area. They had given me 4 Valium to take and so I don’t remember much of the procedure and couldn’t tell where they were cutting. I almost wonder if they shouldn’t have done the groin incisions from the start… I guess time will tell. Here are some current before revision pics.

12 Weeks Today
Well, that time flew by! It’s been exactly 12 weeks today since I had surgery to fix my sagging loose thin skin and stubborn belly fat lo!
I’m still having to go weekly to have my seromas drained. The one on my knee is much better and only drains about 5-10ccs. The two I have on the inside of my rt thigh just above the knee drain about 15ccs between the 2 of them. I “milk” all three after the initial syringe it am getting very little out. I mostly find it satisfying bc they get so hard and uncomfortable just before they drain them. Just yesterday I decided that I would try to go almost 2 weeks before my next draining to see if they’ll resolve some on their own, or my body will finally start doing what it’s supposed to and heal!
My incisions have healed pretty well. They’re pretty reddish-purple right now. I’ve met with the spa gals and they are prepared to help diminish the scars with some bbl treatments once the seromas resolve and my surgeon gives them the “all clear”. They really think the laser treatments will help and I’ll hardly be able to notice the scars after 3 treatments. I’m not holding my breath. I’ve had bbl laser to my face and I wasn’t impressed. It’s about $250 a treatment and it will take at least 2-3 to treat the scars. This surgery is so damn expensive!
But I am happy overall with my outcome. I still have some loose skin concerns that I may want addressed. Still on the fence about my butt and my arms. I really want to work on these two areas but they quoted me about $15K for these two procedures in one surgery and I’m just not in a place mentally or financially yet. Or physically; I’m still not able to do much leg work in the gym. It hurts to squat and my strength has gone way down when trying to do certain machines. I’m working legs about twice a week, but it’s a painful recovery in between workouts and without much gains. I know I am getting stronger each week; it’s just such a slow healing process that I wasn’t prepared for.
