Now a Thigh Lift

Thought I would create a new review rather than continuing to add to my previous one that involved a tummy tuck, breast lift/augmentation, and outer thigh lipo 2 years later. Check it out tho if you're interested in a mommy makeover!
Just a little background on me, my weigh became an issue when I was 17 and put on the depo shot, gained 20lbs in 6 months! I then went to college and gained another 10-15lbs, typical. The icing on the cake was getting pregnant at 20yrs old. After I was done breast feeding my daughter, I didn't adjust my diet and ballooned up to 260lbs, which was my highest weight.
Over the next 20 yrs and 3 more babies and many life changes, I've been able to maintain my weight loss of 100 lbs and then-some. Today I weigh in at 155 at 5'8" (was able to lose the Covid 30 by giving up sugar last summer)
So, I'm ready; I'm ready to say goodbye to the nasty loose skin between my legs. Goodbye to the razor cuts and rashes, especially in the summer months. It's embarrassing and keeps me from wearing shorts or even being undressed in front of my boyfriend. I really want my lower half of my body to match the top half.
I've wanted my thighs fixed for as long as I can remember but my surgeon that did my other work would only do lipo, which if you're over 25, don't bother with lipo if you're also not having skin removed, lipo destroyed what was left of my legs.
As of today, I've taken the leap and scheduled my surgery for 7/30 with a new surgeon that has agreed to tackle my thighs. It's almost impossible to find someone local that will take on this significant surgery, especially on someone who didn't do bariatric surgery to accomplish their weight loss. And as much as I would love to travel to CA to see the top thigh guys, it's not feasible with this type of surgery and recovery for me to be away from home for the 4-6 weeks.

Ten Days to Thigh Day

The summer time always reminds me why I want this surgery. I’m so uncomfortable in everything I wear in the summer. If it’s hot and humid, which is the norm for iowa in july, my thighs are permanently stuck together. It isn’t only unsightly, it can be painful! Hopefully, next summer I can wear dresses, shorts, and pants in general without feeling the pains of this extra skin.
10 days to go! I had my last appt with my surgeon yesterday before we meet again, surgery day. He’s excited, I’m excited. I was so nervous about this appt and still had so many questions but he sat down with me and answered all of them; he even drew out his plans on my right leg, which he says he never does before surgery bc it doesn’t come off; nope, sure doesn’t lol!
He then walked thru my meds with me bc I was concerned about not getting the right pain med; they gave me Vicodin instead of OxyContin. With my past procedures, I’ve always had the regimen of oxy, diazepam, and an anti nausea (I have horrible nausea with pain meds and from the anesthesia). This regimen is perfect for those first miserable few days of recovery, as the pain pills obviously help with the pain, but the diazepam helps me sleep. Oh and I saw on several YouTube videos where they were prescribing the scopolamine patch the day before so the nausea from the anesthesia is better managed than when I typically get one… as I’m going in to the operating room. Anyway, he is prescribing everything we talked about.
Oh, and I’m getting the drains in my pelvic area rather than the knees, which I noticed a lot of people on here and on YouTube had the drains in their knees, which looked impossible! We tried on some compression garments and looked over additional lipo areas and I was out the door. Oh, of course only after paying my remaining balance. These surgeries aren’t cheap but they’ve always been worth it and totally life changing to me!
