Not a good surgery for me in that it made my lower butt sag. I am now getting Sculptra injections.
I think the surgery should be only for people who have lost major weight and have skin to remove, not just for minor sagging as I had.

Can you elaborate what you mean? I have lost 100 pounds and have loose crepes skin in my inner thighs that bugs me. I have been thinking about this procedure but I'm very nervous. I had a TT and breast lift from the same doctor and it was fantastic. Appreciate your insight.
The surgery might then be appropriate for you. I did not lose major weight; I simply had age-related sagging. The scars and resulting lower-butt ptosis were not worth my improvement I saw. Large amounts of skin would likely mean a better trade off.
Kim... has you had any surgeries? Are you thinking about it? I’m in the Boston area too, my surgeon is in providence. There are some great surgeons around. Also, some others that specialize in this that you could travel to

Negative Update

It has now been a year and a half since my medial thigh lift.
I would now rate it as “not worth it” as it has caused my lower butt to sag. I am quite devastated about this.
Evidently this is not treatable with any revision; a doctor recently told me it could actually make things worse and that the scar might migrate downward even further.

Still healing well! I expect to be back to…

Still healing well! I expect to be back to normal life by week eight. I fell at week two and caused incision splitting. Otherwise I would be back to life by now. I am still very happy!
Dr. Hughes is the only doctor I would ever go to for any body-work.
