Thigh Lift Gone Bad

Thigh Lift Gone Bad
I had Lap band surgery in 2009. I lost 70lbs since then and was thrilled with my weight loss!
Because of all the extra sagging skin I opted for a bi-lateral thigh lift.
Of course it was an aggressive procedure but I was ready for what I thought was the final step in my transformation.
I experienced the normal post-surgery swelling which I expected.
However the swelling never subsided and my legs looked worse than when I started. The scars pulled the skin in my inner thighs in odd ways and my inner thighs had lumps and bumps.
Several weeks post surgery I made an appointment to see the surgeon to discuss possible revision.
The surgeon told me there was nothing more he could do.
I was hoping for additional lipo to get rid of the pouches of fat.
He also told me that this type of surgery can aggravate the lymph nodes in the lower legs.
I now have permanent lymphedema and need to wear compression hose 16 hrs a day.
Has anyone else had anything similar happen to them with their surgery?
I’d love to hear from any PS to see if and what options I may have.
Thanks

OMG! Sorry to hear this. I really want to do this for so many years and now that I’ve saved enough money I’m having a difficult time finding the right doctor. Could you possibly share your before and after photos as well as the name of the doctor who performed the surgery? I’m hoping that your results will improve in time. Thank you in advance.
I’m sorry this happened to you.
But I think you should’ve shared the name of the doctor who did this to you.

I am sorry that your surgery was not a success. I have had two thigh lift surgeries: vertical and spiral. My thighs look significantly better, but they never achieved the long term results I wanted. I am personally disappointed with my legs, but not with my surgeon. He was very honest about what I could expect and told me that thigh lifts would not be perfect. My suggestion is to find another surgeon and get a second opinion. Be sure to find one that specializes in body contouring surgeries for weight loss patients. Best of Luck to you.
No pics? No name of surgeon?
I am very happy with my thigh lift. My surgeon took 2 lbs off of each leg.
I have been wearing compression socks the last 2 weeks. My Dr said it will subside in a few weeks.
I hope you continue to heal properly. It will take up to a year to see full results.
