34 year old HS (hidradenitis suppurativa) 'thigh lift'

Please note: cost was my copay; I will update when I know the full costs not covered by insurance.
Also note: this was not a typical thigh life. I have hidradenitis suppurativa and the closest match here was thigh lift.
I was far more advanced in my left groin and perineal region than Dr. Dress had known. Irregardless, he ensured I was well taken care of and my wounds healed well. Some areas were slower to heal (inner incisions on my buttcheek took longer than those in my groin/leg crease). I cannot recommend him enough. My surgery was painful and difficult, yet his staff (Holly and Jason) were always available to help out when Dr. Dress was in surgery. Every visit to see him or Jason (his head nurse) was quick, productive and reassuring. I never felt alone or abandoned or miserable, like I've seen so many others here go through.
All I can say is: if you have my condition and are sick and tired of dermatologists misdiagnosing you - seek out Dr. Dress.
My scars are nearly completely healed. Even areas where I though I would have bumpy, unruly scars are flattening into a smooth line with no noticeable bump or hump. I went in for my right side surgery on May 5th and the recovery from that has been even better! Highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Dress of Dress Cosmetics is fantastic. I have a skin condition called hidradenitis suppurativa in the groin and perineal area. It has plagued me for over 20 years and I've been through having MRSA, being misdiagnosed, being treated like a second class citizen (eg. that I was dirty or unclean hence the cysts), etc. I was told I couldn't possibly have HS because I wasn't overweight. Because of these experiences, I didn't see a doctor for over 5 years and let my HS get out of hand. I was lucky enough to end up being referred to Dr. Dress and he knew exactly what I had and exactly what to do about it. His office staff were kind, compassionate and understanding and never once made me feel like I was gross or disgusting. I met with Dr. Dress and he evaluated my condition. He had the surgery approved by my insurance company and it was immediately scheduled, no waiting games. It was such a relief to finally know I had a chance at a normal life. Day of surgery, Dr. Dress came in and explained what he planned to do, answered all of my questions and was very thorough. Surgery was outpatient and he provided me with medication and a pain pump. The pain pump failed before leaving the hospital through no fault of his, and I had his personal cell phone number to call, so I let him know about two hours after arriving home. He told me to call his office staff the next morning and they would handle it. The following morning, his amazing nurse, Jason, called me immediately when the office opened and helped walk me through next steps. Due to the failing pain pump I experienced higher levels of pain and ran out of medication before the drain was due to be removed. When I called the office 1.5 weeks post op, they immediately prescribed more medication to ensure I was comfortable. I've never had an experience where a doctor and his staff cared so very much and didn't assume they knew what I did or did not need. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone who needs plastic surgery for any reason. He and his staff have made me realize there are still good, honest and caring physicians out there. I feel blessed and am looking forward to my next and final surgery and hopefully full remission. Though I chose Thigh Lift for the Treatment type, what was done was actually called a Radical Resection of Hidradenitis Suppurativa in the perineal area (left side).
