I had my abdomen done at LaserAway, because I really need a tummy tuck but don't have enough money saved up and can't afford the recovery time (I'm a single mom and work full time). I've been separated a few years and am finally ready to get back into the dating pool, but want to feel better about my mom bod, because things did not exactly snap back after baby #2 and I'm now 45. Two years of pilates sadly didn't fix the area, so here we are.
The nurse who treated me was very knowledgeable and had a good bedside manner. Most of the pulses were done at 2.5 (the range is 0.5-3.0) and I didn't experience any pain, but--as was suggested--I did take a Vicodin before the treatment so it may have helped? I had no adverse reactions to the treatment and even went out with a friend for my first lunch after a six month quarantine.
It's been barely 2.5 weeks and I can already see and feel a difference. My stomach skin feel stretched tauter and the wrinkly skin below my belly button seems smoother. I had a c-section it's baby #1 (who was large and I am small), so I'm really hoping that he awful c-section 'ledge' goes away in time. I'll post again in a few months, apparently it can take up to six months for full results.

Your results are incredible. Only 2.5 weeks, you'll improve for months. I didn't see anything decent for over 2 months. Your stomach will continue to get even better but already, you're looking amazing. I want my stomach done! (I wouldn't do my face again, too risky with he fat loss.) Wow! Your results, they make me want to make my appointment tomorrow!

Hi do u have any update pictures?

I don't have any update pictures, but I don't think it's improved much past this photo, unfortunately. I was hoping for more, but sadly nothing. I did get it done on my jawline in early December and have had a better response. I'll post those pics soon.

Thanks for sharing! I think it looks great! Tummy tucks are scary and take such a long time to heal! I have had 5 babies, 2 natural and 3 c-section, been looking around for other options besides tummy tucks. Thank you again for sharing!! :)

I ended up having a tummy tuck anyway nearly two years ago. The pain wasn't as bad as I was anticipating and I'm thrilled with the results. I'd definitely recommend it over thermage for your stomach, especially if you have bad diastasis like I did.

It never really continued to improve and the results didn't last. I had it done on my jaw twice a few years apart and I was happy with those results, but it was doing a lot less heavy lifting than the stomach thermage. I think the skin was more elastic on my jaw than on my stomach (I've had two kids) and also has less fat, so it responded better.

That is sad to hear, but realistic that it didn't continue to improve! Seems like a short, band aid version instead of a long-term solution. II was still quite hopeful, as I am sure you and most of us are! :) Thanks again for your honesty. I am glad to hear you have the results you wanted, even if it took a bit more to get there!!
