RESEARCH Risks Before You Get This Done Anywhere (Inc. Real Self Event)

Like almost all of the reviews here, I got this procedure done at one of the Real Self events. After seeing my derm for some residual redness and sensitivity on my face I'm hoping having this procedure doesn't turn out to be a mistake.
Unlike the employees at the event, my derm explained how radio frequency treatments like Thermage should really be done at a medical facility under the care of an experienced physician due to risk of complications. While mostly safe, using too strong a setting or two many pulses in the same area could result in permanent loss of subcutaneous fat. Fingers crossed the pain from the pulses (though minimal and tolerable) I experienced was part of the normal procedure and not bc the pulses were literally burning my skin layers. Also, the fat loss like the college regeneration is not immediate and occurs over the next 6 months.
Had I known all of these risks, I would not have done this procedure. Too much risk, didn't have before pictures taken by the tech, didn't get post op care instructions or contact info in case there was an adverse event. Save yourself some sleepless night and get this done by a pro.
And to the Real Self Event Crew: Thank you for putting this event together. For the next one might I suggest investing a little more time and effort to make sure patients get appropriate time and info for their treatments. Don't let your eagerness to treat as many patients as possible lead to someone getting hurt bc of negligence. No one should regret attending an event like this.
