I had Thermage done at a very respected and well known dermatologist. It instantly Destroyed my face by taking all the fat out of my cheeks and eye area ... even lower face had saggy skin after. The lady spent more time on the left side and it was completely ruined. My skin used to have a glow and looked so healthy I passed for 10 years younger. The left side was so damaged I look 10 years older than my age on the left side. This has impacted my life as no fillers could help fill the empty void of fat taken. If you don’t have a lot of fat in your face, don’t do this. I will always regret this and I will never be the same. It’s depressing.

Thank you.... I’ve been doing a lot of PRP.... just got some fat grating and it helped.... still not back to normal on left side but right side has come along so far.... Thansk so much for your suggestion and comment

How did the fat grafting go? I had thermage done on my neck and jaw line. She melted my fat in places where she was too aggressive. I have dents in my jaw line. My neck initially looked a little better at months 3-4-5 but now at month 9-10-11, it's looking awful. I still hurt some too in small spots. (nerve damage?). I didn't know about Real Self then. It was done at a reputable PS office, I believed them when they said "no risk." I didn't get my eyes & upper face done at the same time because I felt overwhelmed that day. (It hurt too.) I ALMOST went back 2 months later but found RS first.

It will be only 3 weeks on this Monday so hard to tell right now. So far, it has definitely given me volume because the fat melting took so much away from both sides but more the left where she was more aggressive. It’s still not “perfect” on the left but so much better. They say it takes 3-6 months to see the final results.

The PRP microneedling did help but I was missing so much fat in left side is why I did fat grafting.

By the time I went home I could see a Huge difference .... it was weird, then got worse .....took photo and there was no denying the impact it had on my face... fillers didn’t even work

Did she not use a grid? If she didn’t put what looks like a temporary tattoo grid on your face, then it wasn’t done properly. A grid helps the technician not go over a spot twice. So sorry you had a bad experience!

She did… but she went over the same spots numerous times .. wanted to do it extra ??? Really bad idea…. But everything is coming along well now … I’m recovery due to a lot of products and collagen building ! Horrible time but grateful I’m looking like me again.. to an extent at least

Decided to show picture after thermage to help others know the severity of what could happen. Just not worth the risk. Notice all fat gone under left cheek bone and this was after syringe of filler...

I’m so sorry....It sucks something sold as non-evasive and easy could do such enormous damage. Not a day goes by I wish I could go back and not do it. It has killed my self-esteem and can’t seem to get back to where I was but will keep trying ...... I will help or listen to anyone who needs it. I understand

Fat grafting to fix thermage

I will be 3 weeks on this Monday from having fat grafting to fix Thermage damage.....still not exactly even but texture and skin look so much better ... pretty early on though so I can keep anyone updated

I had thermage on august 13 2023 for jowls and neck its been a month i do not see anything. i hope i do not get disappointed.
