So sorry I haven't updated! Love my results but I continue to have uPper ab Serling and my back fat is terrible. My weight has been up since surgery. But I still love my tummy! I did end up with hypertrophic scars on belly button and surgery line. My experience with breast reduction 6 years ago is that they will eventually go away. It doesn't really bother me. I got injections but it didn't seem to work.

Shanna, I was curious about African American women and scarring. The other ladies who post all of the time have good information and very good pics that they show, but it is still very different from what I am going through. My scar has turned very dark, as you can see from my picture updates. It seems as if it has risen some, but not much. How long after surgery could you tell that your bb and surgery line would be hypertrophic? I am 16 weeks po, but I really cannot tell if they will rise or not.
I can't answer that accurately other than to say you will see some thickening. I feel mines was showing by 16 weeks.
Exactly when I noticed! I don't think I will get the injections though! Not sure yet. I do think that if it continues to rise that I will reconsider the injections. I am 18 weeks po and it seems to be the same as it was at week 16 po, so no changes yet.
I'm honestly a little irritated by it lately. It thickens and than flattens, I'm going to call about revision this week. I'll let you know what I find out

More progress pics

So my drains are so irritating! Ugh- still not out yet and I am going back to work part time on Monday. Teaching summer school for 1 student 3 hours a day m-th. I feel like my skin is pulled too tight some days. Also I have like dark looking stretch marks on the end of my incision. It's like a busted blood vessel, I need to take a pic. I had a small pea size blister and my doctors PA said just to let it be. I didn't know what it was so I peeled it thinking it was tape residue and it bled. But it's on both ends of incision like flank area. But now on my left side it looks like 2 real weird dark stretch mark. I'm not sure if this is from my binder constantly riding or what. I also want another binder. Just not sure about investing in one if it won't be used for that long. So here are some pics, I will try to update more often. When I get drains out I'll be more comfortable taking pics.

It will not be long you will look amazing too. Just rest alot do not over do it.
How does your scars & tummy look now? I have my TT scheduled with dr gill for January 12th :)
Hi Shanna! I was feeling the same way you did before your TT, LIPO and MR. You look great by the way. I have finally set up my first consult for 1/2/2015. One of my major concerns is scarring or forming a keloid after sx. Have you had this issue. I would like to know if your progress after 5 months if you do not mind sharing.

I got a tummy tuck in june 9 from Paul Gill Houston. He did a amazing work on me!!! I love my new body. I am 50 years old. I wish I did this after I had my twins 24 years ago.
Just take care of your self! And Rest alot. I am six week Monday. My six week got cancel he has surgery. and the next week I was going on vacation
